I didn’t want to write this but here’s a full honest review of the gym. This is coming from someone who’s been to countless gyms.
Plates are chipped and missing so 45 lbs might be 35-40 lbs. The floor is bubbling which is a safety hazard for a lot of new members. Some of the dumbbells are not the same weight.. The AC hasn’t been on for over a month now (supposedly it’s down during the heat wave when it’s over 100 degrees) I call bs on that. They probably just don’t want to pay for the AC. The gym itself is a sauna.
I’ve been an OG member for awhile now and always paid $250 for 6 months upfront from the last 2 owners. Sammy and Ben. New owner didn’t want to honor the price. First they tell me 6 months is $85 then I say what? And ask for the yearly price if it’s that cheap. Then she says the 6 months upfront is like 5 something. Then says the best is $31.99 biweekly. Then I told her why does is say $19.99 online? Then she made a call and tried charging me $299 for renewal fee plus $19.99 biweekly. What a skeem. I legit brought my friend to renew his membership few months ago and she gave him $250 for 6 months. Seems like they tryna upcharge to pay for the AC to turn back on. Before trying to upcharge make sure everything in the gym is 100% if not no one’s paying that. Greedy. There’s way better gyms around (anytime fitness is only good for CONVENIENCE because it’s 24/7).
IF YOU WANT BETTER PRICING FOR THE MEMBERSHIP JUST CALL AROUND TO OTHER ANYTIME FITNESS LOCATIONS NEAR THE AREA. I CALLED ANOTHER ONE RIGHT AFTER I LEFT AND THEY TOLD ME, THEY COULD DO $271 FOR 6 MONTHS UPFRONT. Then you can still use your fob at any anytime fitness. Don’t get...
Read moreTerrible experience at this location! I signed up for a membership and personal trainer back in March of this year. 3 weeks into my training, the trainer quits. Trying to be understanding with the manager, I allowed her to freeze my account before making any decisions on my personal trainer contract. She offered me a free training from her personally (she is not a certified trainer). I continued to ask her on what options I had in getting out of the contract, and each time she told me that she would speak to the owner and they’d see what can be done. After three weeks of going back and forth, I told her that I’d just like to cancel the contract since there was no longer a certified trainer on site. She then becomes extremely rude with me, telling me that all the weight I lost on my own was going to plateau, and I was going to fail my fitness journey! She tried gaslighting me by saying that I don’t have enough experience with gym equipment to be able to stay on track with my weight loss goals, and that I am incapable of losing anymore weight on my own! ( I am an ex student athlete, I have many years of experience with working out, and I have lost over 30lbs during quarantine. I recently lost 20lbs since working again, without any help from a personal trainer!) when I had asked to get in touch with the club owner, she told me that she would reach out to him. I do not believe she spoke to her Employer any of the times she told me she would. The manager is very unprofessional and rude when she doesn’t get her way. She tries to tear peoples self esteem down, and she makes working at the gym a very uncomfortable experience! I will no longer be attending this gym while she...
Read moreI never leave reviews because I’ve never cared enough. This business is ruining anytime fitness’ reputation. I have been all over the country and enjoyed great equipment, and easy to work with staff. I’ve always been pleased with their flexibility and rapid communication. HOWEVER, this anytime fitness had a change of management/staff. They cannot be contacted. They respond to no email, no call, no voicemail. Every time I’ve tried to contact them it takes 2 weeks for them to respond. I’ve had to ask other anytime fitness’ what to do to cancel since they own your billing info and only they can cancel.
ADVICE FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO CANCEL: other anytime fitnesses have advised me to create a paper trail of evidence to prove that they continue to charge me when I’ve tried to cancel, so if they refuse a refund there is legal evidence to support. Write emails with references to times contacted and when, to include what you said in a voicemail(“I want to cancel my subscription”).
On a separate note this is the only anytime fitness I’ve seen that didn’t let people in for a day (not very 24/7 of them) and it was never addressed or made up for. Me and a couple of guest were stuck outside and tried to contact any and all staff but no one responded...
