If you ever visited this theater when it was new, do yourself a favor and donât visit it now as it is guaranteed to be a disappointing experience for you. Visiting this theater used to be an experience in luxury. It was more expensive than the surrounding theaters, but you were treated to a theater setting unlike any other with this theaterâs distinctive art deco style decor, opulent finishes, and the best in sound and picture quality. They even had a lounge with a fireplace in between the main restrooms and real curtains for the movie screens! Now, however, it is just dirty, rundown, and utterly depressing. Nothing has been maintained or repaired over the years since Regal bought the theater.
My husband and I watched Furiosa in the directorâs suite last week (May 31st), which used to be the fanciest theater, but now the seats are sprung, the air smells musty, the staff is minimal, and the air conditioning didnât seem to be on until about 10 minutes before showtime. In the past, visitors to the upper floor were greeted by a staff person at the top of the stairs who checked their IDs and directed them to their theater. This time, we had to go to the bar, which was only staffed by one person, to have our IDs checked. The employee checked our IDs, directed us to the wrong theater, and in the course of our 2-minute interaction casually cursed twice (not at us, just using the words as adjectives). Exemplary service thereâŠ
Despite it being a Friday night, only a small portion of the main concession stand was open and there was an overall feeling of abandonment, as if this theater is on life support. After being assailed with commercials and trailers for a full 30 minutes (we timed it) after the official start time, the movie finally began and sadly the audio and picture quality were quite bad. We had seen this movie in a better theater the week before so we knew what it was supposed to look and sound like, and this was not it. Thankfully the tickets were free, otherwise I would have been very disappointed at having spent so much to have such a subpar experience.
As a resident of Moore, I was so proud to have this theater in my city when it first opened. It was a unique movie going experience that brought people to our city. Now, it is so rundown that it is more like the old dollar theaters, but sadly they are still charging the same prices which are now exorbitant given the condition of the theater and the subpar sound and picture quality. Although it sounds dramatic, it actually hurts to see what this previously grand theater has become. Shame on you Regal for ruining this theater!
Having said all that, I want to be clear that this review is from the perspective of someone who knows how nice this theater was in the past. There are definitely worse theaters in the OKC metro area. Someone who has never visited this theater might find it sufficient or think it is worth the higher ticket prices than other theaters. However, I am taking my...
Read moreI was at your Moore OK Warren theater tonight and was treated like trash, and not a valued member/customer. Nearly assaulted and humiliated by your manager Connor Young. Let me preface this encounter by letting you know that tonight was an evening of celebration. It was my anniversary and I and my husband wanted to celebrate by going to our favorite theater and watching a great movie. About 45 minutes into our movie I went to the concession stand, where I waited in line for 15 minutes before making it to the counter to order my drink and candy. As I was paying the cashier told me she doesn't take cash at her register and that Iâd have to wait in line all over again in that line. I asked her if there was anything she could do to help me since I had already waited in line and she said NO. I asked her if a manager could be called to assist me because the lines were now longer than when I started my wait. She brought over the manager, he asked what he could do for me. After I explained to him the situation and that there was no signage letting people know there was only 1 cash paying register I asked if he could please ring me up? He flat out said NO, and he pointed to a tiny sticker on the backside of the cash register that said âcredit cards onlyâ I then asked him if there was any other signage at the back of the line explaining this? Because it does not make sense to have someone wait in line then make it to the counter and THEN being told that they have to stand in different line if they want to use cash. His demeanor changed and he became enraged! I was holding my cash in my hand the whole time when he then very aggressively ripped my money from my hand resulting in my hand hitting the counter extremely hard. I immediately advised him that was not okay and he doesnât treat people like that. Another patron next to me even said â wow dude youâre acting like youâre on fire and upset calm down - that isnât okay â!!! Mr. Young then gave me my change back and was smiling from ear to ear- almost as if he was proud of the situation he had created. I immediately went to get my husband and we left, I was in tears at this outward display of violence and could not believe this was a manager that is supposed to represent your company/brand!!!! At this point, I can assure you that I will not be attending any further shows at this theater while this manager is still employed there. I would appreciate being contacted by someone at a corporate level to discuss this horrible experience. I do not want to be contacted by anyone at the location level. This could have all been avoided if your manager had the proper signage directing guests who are paying in cash to 1 particular register. Again, there is no signage stating this!! I have never in my life been treated with such hate and animosity! Violence is not OK and can only hope that your company does not stand behind this behavior exhibited by your...
Read moreTonight I took my brother out to see a movie in the Balcony to have the dinner and movie experience. When the hostess went to seat us, they quickly found they had seated someone else in our spots. They looked at both ours and the other couples tickets to make sure we were there on the right day. My ticket was correct but the couples ticket was for tomorrow. While the hostess was talking to the couple I stepped back and waited in the isle. She came over and apologized then said I am going to take care of this, give me one second. A manager showed up shortly after and told me I had a couple options. He said he could refund our tickets and give us another day, or he could kick the couple (who already had their meal ordered and were enjoying it) out of my reserved seats. I said I did not want to kick the couple out but did they have something were we could sit. He said He had one handicap seating, he would have to pull up a chair in the handicap seating and we could sit there. I said that was fine. Then for the inconvenience, Warren comped our dinner and drinks and gave us a full refund for our tickets. On top of that when we were leaving he came and gave us two tickets for balcony sitting to come again. Our dinner and drinks was $46, our refunded tickets was $36 plus the two he gave us ($36). That's a $118 value that the Warren Theater gave us for having us sit in different seats and a pull up chair (which was very comfortable).
I would like to say thanks to Warren Theater and the manager on duty (10/26/18 at 9:30 Halloween movie). You guys went above and beyond and I will keep returning to your theater as a satisfied customer. I have never received such loyal service. I would have sat in the seats you gave me and been just fine without any compensation, but you guys made me feel like a valued customer by your generosity.
Best of wishes to the the manager who took care of us. May you be blessed with kindness and...
