Let me start by saying, tonight was not my first visit to the Pit. The positive note, I will give them props on their covid awareness procedures and cleanliness, but that’s where the positives stop. I’ve been to the pit several times and used to be a member. Tonight, I could not have been more disappointed in the go cart racing. I had 4 family members drive over an hour just to race the go carts (race go carts, not drive go carts). We bought 2 races and during the first race, the cart I was started in was so slow you could drive the entire track without letting out of the gas or using any brake... I stopped to tell one of the workers and he told me to change carts. I pulled in, told the other worker the issue and he put me in a different cart.... that cart had exactly same situation as the first. I told them again and that’s when the worker first claimed that “these are new carts and they are slower than the older carts”. I then told him about the other carts on the track being unquestionably faster than my first 2 carts and he said “oh yea, the first 2 you got are slow carts, let’s try a different one”. I’m not a professional driver but I went to actually have competitive racing with my family, not putt-putt around the track like some children’s fair ride. I very calmly explained to both employees working the track that we were there for friendly competition and if they knew some of the carts were slower to please let us know but they didn't try. The major inconsistencies between the carts is the main reason I will not be back but also a little disappointed in the employees little effort in making sure we, the customers, were satisfied. Also note that it was not a busy night, there were no more than 15 people racing, we were 6 of them. There are other cart racing businesses in the area that I’m sure will be glad to...
Read moreWow, where to begin. First, the karting is where it's at. This place has little to offer beyond that, however. But that's okay. I gave it a 3 stars instead of 5 due to management. This place appears to be ran by teenagers. No organization. No one knew what was going on.
Here's a synopsis of our visit: Showed up but wasn't really sure of where to go. Finally discovered the front desk. Got in line when someone finally recognized we were there. Took our order but didn't offer any help choosing the various activities. Took our money and then walked away. I asked where everything was and he pointed over there down the stairs. So we walked around and found the stairs. No explanation of where to go and what to do when e got there, and that there is a start time to things. Found our way to the first activity but they called our name for karting halfway through. Again no explanation. So that got cut short. Showed up to kart but no one was organizing anyone. Those who knew the gig were suiting up and ready. But what about those of us who never been there. Where do we go, what do we do. This race, next race. Safety video, explanation of ANYTHING. Finally I flagged down one of the workers and asked what we were supposed to do. He said to go through the door and watch the safety video. We sit down and he said, change of plans, you guys are up. Okay, no safety video for us. Got in our karts and off we went. Was crazy fun. Loved it. Put-put was just as disorganized. No one there. We all just grabbed a club and played. Was cool. The arcade, half the games didn't work. Chewed up my tokens. Was okay. We were tired by then and ready to go anyways.
All in all we had a fun time. But this place could go to the next level if it just had some management. Whomever the manager is, get rid of them IMMEDIATELY. They are the problem here. Not...
Read moreIm giving two stars because we enjoyed Axe Throwing once we got to it.
First, I must’ve not understood that when you reserve a time online, it’s for 25 mins before you actually throw. So we reserved 7:05, but we were told we were actually throwing at 7:30. We showed up an hour before our reserved time (7:05) to play games because I thought we would throw not long after check in. So we were actually 1.5 hours early. BUT thank god we came early because it took us an hour to check in. This place is ran by teenagers and I feel bad for the ones who actually try to help. You check in the main person, then everyone else in your group has to make a profile if it’s their first time there. Then you go back to the register to get your slips for throwing. Standing in line for each. When we tried to get the rest of our groups slips, they were having issues with my reservation. There was a random name on it and they couldn’t find any management to help them. Somehow they fixed that but then it said I only had 3 people reserved but I had four and my receipt to show it. I don’t know how but they finally fixed it. We also had to buy tokens at the register because the token machine was broken. We were told we could only buy $20 of tokens. No other option. All of this took about an hour, leaving us only 30 min (because you actually throw 25 mins after your “reserved” time) to play games. We mostly did pool but a few of us did games. Some of them didn’t work or didn’t give tickets.
Axe throwing was fun and the worker at the station was very nice! The boards are pretty dry, despite them spraying them with a spray bottle. There were several times the axe would hit and bounce off or only stick for a second. Not the best lanes I’ve been to, but not terrible.
Overall, I wouldn’t go back. It’s so unorganized and kind...
