Unfortunately, I have to be the one person to say this was not good. It wasn’t bad. It was fresh enough and good service with a smile, so they did great there, but literally there’s no taste at all! It was simply just food in my stomach. This could be because I’ve lived almost everywhere in the country and have had food at so many of these little burrito places and this was actually the worst as far as taste and texture. Had the loco burrito and was waiting to taste it and it was never there. I knew I was eating chicken and rice and beans on a flour tortilla but nothing other than my hunger kept me eating it. Got rice and beans and omg literally no taste at all! I was actually amazed. And the tortilla chips were literally like eating cardboard. Totally unmemorable. So this review is for the people with sophisticated pallets who really know good tasting food, and even at small little cheap food stands. It’s not always about eating at 5 star restaurants as some of my most memorable restaurants were complete holes in the wall. Don’t go here if you’re particular about your Mexican food! If you’re starving and need to fill your belly, you’re good! It’s a clean place with...
Read moreI have ordered from here many times before and have been very pleased with my experience; however, this last time I ordered from there the food was great but the customer service was horrible. I called my order in, she did not read my order back to me and did not tell me my amount. When I picked up the food and took it back to work the order was wrong. I called back to see if I could fix the problem and simply switch out the orders, she told me that I had not ordered what I said I did and then put me on hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes, hung up and called back and was immediately placed on hold again for 10 more minutes. I attempted to call back with no answer. I left work again and went back up to the store, called again and finally got an answer, was not told sorry for being placed on hold for 20 minutes and told that I would have to order and pay for another order. After arguing with her for a few minutes, she told me to just bring the old one and come in. When I was in the store again she was very cold and did not apologize for anything. The problem is I love the food, and a simple situation that could have been easily fixed ended up taking my 45 minutes...
Read moreThe outside of Burrito Loco's building is nothing to write home about, nor the inside really, but the burritos make it seem like the Taj Mahal of burritoland. My husband and I just recently moved away from Mooresville, and I can honestly say that Burrito Loco so far is the thing we've missed the most. So much, in fact, that when we were in town just for the weekend we made a special trip just to go one more time. I always get the same thing - the loco burrito with chicken - but my husband has had all of the burritos and has trouble deciding which one he wants whenever we go.
I would have never guessed that true burrito perfection lay in such an unassuming place, but there it is. The burritos are large, definitely two-handers, and super filling. It's not just the generic burrito you can get at Moe's or Chipotle; their burritos are on a whole other level. It's quality cooking for a great price!
P.S. They do have other menu items other than burritos, but since they're named after their burritos I feel like I have to get...
