Iâm not normally one to leave bad reviews but I sat on the idea for a few days given that my nails look great. However, my experience was not. I didnât have an appointment and so I didnât mind waiting the time I did however when I had my nails done there were a few things that happened that really bothered me. First off, I needed a nail repair and In the many years Ive had acrylics done theyâve always put a new nail tip and then used the acrylic powder to do the new nail. Maybe Iâm just not familiar with the techniques used but instead she used a whole nail and used gel to cure it and paint it with the rest. When I asked her about it she said âwhen it grows out then someone can put acrylic powder over top.â I mean I guess that fine Iâve just never had that done when I needed a nail repair.
The worst part about this whole experience was the filing. Ultimately I asked her to stop filing my nails completely. Sometimes when having my nails done people end up filing to low and it hurts or they file to close to the skin and catch skin. Thatâs fine if it happens maybe once. This happened many times this experience⌠then when she continued to file she filed down too much to the point she was causing me actual pain and bleeding. The problem is she just got too close with the file to my actual nail bed putting too much pressure on the nail. I wouldnât have been so upset had she just stopped filing but I literally had made a fuss because it hurt and she apologized and stopped filing that finger to do the same to another. Again fine if itâs a one time thing. However, that was not the case. She continued to go back to the same nails she had over filed and filed them even more to the point I had to pull my hand away and say stop filing. She had filed down to the nail bed. Which was extremely painful. Again I wasnât going to write a review but then she had kept apologizing while proceeding to do the same thing she apologized for. Initially I wasnât mad because again it happens. But to continue to go back to the same nail and file again when Iâve told you it hurts is wild. At the end of it she tried to convince me she needed to finish filing and I just politely told her no. She did grab aloe and try to help it but at this point it was too late. I now have extremely sensitive nails and when I even put pressure on it they still cause me pain. She tried to say she wasnât good at filing and that she was sorry over and over but I was just trying to be patient. Iâm usually a really patient person but ultimately I just asked her to finish without filing the rest. After days I figured Iâd wait and see if the pain went away but she clearly filed way to close to bed because even 3-4 days later Iâm still in pain. Again the nails look great but the fact that she filed my nail so many times that I had to stop the service is why Iâm upset. At this point Iâm now concerned for the next time I get my nails filled because their really wonât be any way for them to file my nails with causing me pain. She offered me $5 off my next service but honestly I wonât be returning. Thatâs just something that I canât get behind. If Iâm saying Iâm in pain and you continue to file the same spot Iâm complaining about.. thatâs an issue. Glad the nails look good just not worth the pain Iâm still feeling...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. It's location was convenient and I had a pedi there with my (then) fiance. They did a good job and were expeditious. I decided I would use them for my wedding mani pedi, so I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance and specifically told them it was a bridal appointment. I also recommended one of my bridesmaids and her mother to this establishment so we could all get our nails done together. I show up on time and my friend and her mom were already there and starting their appointments. They clearly took walk-ins right before my appointment as there were no available chairs and they were all fairly early in their pedis. I hung around for a while before anyone greeted me. After several minutes, I walked in to the pedi area and asked if I needed to sign in with someone for my noon appointment (just trying to get an acknowledgement that they would get to me soon). I was told that I would be helped shortly. I waited for another 10 minutes before I had to say something again and tell them I had a time-sensitive appointment. That meant I had to wait almost thirty minutes for my bridal "appointment" before I told them if I didn't get in a chair soon, I would have to leave as I needed to drive 1.5 hours to my venue and get ready for the rehearsal. So they start rushing some poor lady out of the chair and I am having to hang around awkwardly to talk to my out of town guests and look like the bad cop who rushed this woman's pedi. I finally get in a chair but of course can't sit next to my friends because of the 6 total chairs available, they are sitting at the other end. Ok, fine. Now I am watching the clock tick down knowing I still need a mani and need to be on the road soon. They finish on the pedi and move to the mani. Now I am nervous as my expectation was to be leaving in the near future and this is going to cost me once I get on the road to make up time. I get my nails done and I have to wait for them to dry. I sit patiently and when I was told they should be dry, I followed up inquisitively to be sure I was ready as I didn't want my nails to get ruined. Guess what? By the time I had to open my car door handle, my nails were already dinged. This was supposed to be my one relaxing moment before my wedding weekend kicked off. Not a good experience for me. I won't be going back based off this experience alone, but for what it's worth (and for other's benefit) there was no TV or wine... For the price, you have better options! The only reason I won't give this one star is that the people seemed nice and were at the mercy of whoever took walk-ins before my...
Read moreDonât go here - terrible experience! If you want to walk out stressed, flustered, and wishing you had never come, then go here. Otherwise find someplace else.
I asked for a French style manicure on my feet with a light pink base color, but didnât like the base color when it went on and asked to go back to clear. The tech argued with me and didnât want to remove the color but finally did. The French style manicure looked awful, showed that my nails had been cut/filed crookedly and the lines were uneven. I expressed that it didnât look good and asked for the nails to be filed/adjusted and to change to a solid color - more issues! Finally I got a solid color and went to dry for a bit - after 10 minutes or more I was going to put my shoes on and a tech said to wait a bit longer and put them under the dryer. I did this for another 10-15 and then began to put my shoes in and a tech ran over and said they likely werenât dry and checked one toe, smudging it badly. She tried to clear coat over it to fix it and it didnât look good. Then paint over and it looked worse. I expressed it didnât look good and that this had been a terrible and stressful experience, the opposite of what I had hoped it to be. Another tech yelled at me that she had told me it would take hours to dry (she didnât!) and rolled her eyes at me when I said she did not give me a time frame (I asked her specifically and she just said to sit under the dryers for a bit).
The owner asked what I wanted and I said I agreed to them being repainted. I thought that she offered to repaint and do the whole thing for free due to all of the issues. She asked me to pick a color. I chose one from the shelf and she said no, pick one of these, they dry quickly. I agreed and picked one and she repainted my nails and said they were dry and I could go home. I started to leave and she then expressed that the pedicure wasnât free, she was only giving me gel color for free. None of which she clarified earlier! I thought she had expressed she was repainting and doing everything for free due to all of the hassle.
I am happy to pay for a pedicure, I was was planning to pay (and did despite the awful experience) but I highly highly recommend you do not go here if you want to relax and enjoy a stress free pedicure. If you do youâll end up with a mediocre nail job and a lot of regret, and a stressful...
