TLDR; left with one of my pinkies bleeding because the nail tech filed my skin in a rush and large white splotches in my pink and white French manicure.
This was my third time here and I went in to get my nails painted pink and white French tip using dip powder. I had originally booked with Tammy as I had read many great reviews of her work and since the last time I booked an appointment without picking my technician, the lady (whose name I can’t recall) busted my cuticles so bad that I left with two cuticles bleeding and you could see the nail bed on my pinky for a whole week. I figured getting my cuticles trimmed was not something I wanted to do again and hopefully my next visit would be better since I really liked how the end result looked last time. This time around, I was hoping for similar results and hopefully no bleeding but I was disappointed again. I’d booked with Tammy today but they called me to say she was out sick so I picked to come in earlier to get it done with Liz. When I arrived, they’d assigned another technician Jenna, not the person I had asked for. While Jenna was good with her filing work, she started rushing towards the end of our appointment when she was told that someone with a pedicure was waiting for her and she said it would take her 10 more minutes to finish up here. Only when she accidentally made me bleed did she slow down to carefully make sure to check for skin around the nail before filing it. I have a pretty decent pain tolerance but having tender skin being filed by a rough nail board is painful enough to make anyone yell out in pain. I tried to brush it off but my finger kept stinging for the next 20 mins as she kept doing her task. When I asked her for some kind of ointment after she was done, she said it’s not that bad and it has stopped bleeding. She did get some kind of oil that helped with the pain but only at the very end before it was time to cure the top coat, which mind you is kind of painful when you’ve just had a bleed. The tipping point for me was the final result of the nails. They are shaped fine but the color is completely off. The pink looks like a dull, unhealthy pink and it’s got so many white splotches. Instead of my nails looking pretty and healthy, it’s looks dull like skin that’s been sitting in water for too long and comes out looking all dead and whitish. It frankly does not look good and I’m disappointed because they looked amazing the last time I had the same service done. I still had the remainder of my nails from the previous time and I told her multiple times that I wanted the exact same thing, no changes. I think somewhere in between the filing and the last white dip, she overdid it with the white powder because you can barely tell that these are pink. I’ve attached photos from both my appointments so people can see the difference, I assure you it’s not a lighting difference if people might be inclined to think so. I’m not sure I will be returning again, for the price and the time involved, I’m sure I can get them done somewhere else or do it myself for less pain and better results. I’m not happy about leaving a bad review but I do feel that people should know about this before they make an...

My original review was 2+ years ago, so wanted to provide an update as I'm now a regular here. Every single staff member is extremely professional, friendly, and skilled in what they do.
Also, to address some of the comments about price gouging, simply false.
Yes, everything is more expensive nowadays. I'm sure cost of materials have gone up for this business as well as many others, yet they have not raised their prices.
A base price online is just that, A BASELINE.
The entitlement of some people who post their beautiful nails from here, but feel like they shouldn't have to pay more for things that take additional time and resources, is astonishing. You can't please everyone 🙅🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️.
I also always ask how much a full service is before committing to it. Gel, an extra design, etc. have always been extra no matter where I go.
I never feel upsold when I come to VNB. Ex: Went for a pedicure one time and they asked if I wanted gel or regular polish. I asked how much extra the gel service was, and when they told me I politely declined. Their response? "OK, no problem."
If anything, Jenny has helped me save money over the years. I used to ALWAYS get tips because I'm a nail biter and didn't trust myself not to bite through anything but acrylic tips. Jenny told me for 6 months I was wasting money & should just do dip on my natural nail. I finally did this and haven't gone back since, and my nail health is stronger than ever thanks to her advice. Now I'm not wasting an extra $10+ everytime to get tips.
My suggestion, if concerned about price before going to get a service done, just ask how much the full service costs. Extra time and materials will cost more, anywhere.
Jenny and everyone in this store always go out of their way to provide the most positive experience. I've seen this with myself and many other customers over the years. As someone who's been getting my nails done professionally for 15+ years, there's a reason I'll continue coming back to Venice Nail Bar. But don't take my word for it, check them out to see for yourself!

Went here as a walk-in and Jenny took care of me right away! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Got the SNS dip and a pedicure. They have a TON of colors to choose from.
Walked away with the prettiest/most natural dip I've ever gotten. Jenny took the time to make sure everything looked perfect.
Definitely recommend this place! Go check them out, you won't be sorry.
Oh and they also have wine if you're ever just having...

These people are not only motivated professionals - they are a team that set an industry standard & my bff & I have regretted even trying another spa after being patrons here at Venice. She & I are spoiled at this nail bar! ok, enough gushing, some details that really stuck out to us: When removing acrylics they do not force anything. No drill, no shaving, no rush. Our artist took her time keeping an eye on our nails by checking in while they soaked & we got to enjoy some delicious sweet white wine while watching music videos & the Great British Baking Show
