Rengstorff Park — Attraction in Mountain View

I am from the area and this was always a decent pool. Was never opened for evening year round lap swims until recently which was cool and also disappointing. No pool lights? Hopefully the new pool will. Cons. The staff are nice teenagers but typical brian washed. There a no mature adults overseeing. Typical of mountain view ethics. There are no longer anymore original locals and Mountain View has been taken over my corporate communists. Forcing us into smaller and smaller apartments they call " affordable" housing. There are no opportunities here left for locals. Sadly I am forced to move out of the area and todays Rengstorff pool was another urgent reminder (the RV's were the only comforting part!.. And yes the overpopulation and outrageous costs are...

Take your child to the park to play under the tree covered shade, bring cardboard to slide down the ramp into the sand, let them exercise their arms on the monkey bars, get dizzy around the spinning bar, build confidence climbing up the rock climbing wall, swing up to the sky... Come back as an adult to play pickle ball, tennis, practice acroyoga on the grass as you ruminate on childhood days in the park and the dizzying speed at which life paces. Relax walking the dog in search of its dog friends, or meandering around the vast park open with leisurely possibilities. Parked along the side street are many RV dwellers and a community center across the park. Rengstorff Park and Pool embraces the young and old, poor and affluent, hard...

Overall, the facilities are a bit old. The kiddie pool is closed due to a hole in it. According to a staff member, it is not likely to reopen although there should be one when the new pool is built and opens in a few years, hopefully by 2023. During construction, you will have to visit eagle park pool instead.

The main pool was open on our visit. Be prepared to pay cash in case their credit card machine is still down.

Waterslide and diving board were closed during our visit. The lifeguards were nice and brought out some diving rings for us to play with.

Lifeguards on duty. Pool was not crowded.

The only seats are the benches attached to picnic tables.

Parking is free. We liked that the pool was so close to the big playground...
