Okay darling I may not have touched their coffee but these sandwiches had me absolutely GAGGED. The bread was softer than my contouring blender and fluffier than my biggest wig on a humid day. I’m talking pillowy perfection probably that gorgeous milk bread that makes you want to nestle into it like a silk pillowcase.

Now let’s talk about that egg salad sandwich babe. The filling was fluffy and eggy like a cloud kissed by a chicken but mama needed a little MORE you know. Where’s the DRAMA. A little extra mustard would’ve taken this from cute to SERVE ME EVERYTHING ON THE MENU. But still absolutely delicious.

BUT THE CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH Pure perfection served on a silver platter. The chicken was tender those crispy apple bits were giving me LIFE with that perfect crunch and whatever other magical ingredients they threw in there had me doing a little happy dance in my seat. This sandwich said I’m here to make your day better and it absolutely DELIVERED.

The presentation was clean the vibes were immaculate and honestly I’ll be back faster than you can say wig snatched. Robu Coffee knows how to treat a queen right.

Now honey let me keep it real about the space situation. The inside was a little crowded and the counter setup had me doing some strategic maneuvering. They only have two openings one for the cash register and one for drink pickup. The trash can and napkins are right by that drink pickup window and baby it gets CONGESTED. People waiting for their drinks people slowly picking up their orders people unwrapping straws like they’re opening a present. It was giving rush hour subway vibes but with better smells. I was excited to try this cafe since it is located across town. As others have said, parking is a pain. I purchased a mocha. The flavor very mild, almost flavorless. I could taste the chocolate. However, the coffee flavor was missing. I expected much bolder flavors from a shop that specializes in Vietnamese coffee. Perhaps their non-"classic" beverages are better?

The service was okay. Nothing special. Someone took my order. Someone called my name and placed my drink on the bar. No overt pleasantries. Also, nothing to complain about. Just a simple exchange to complete a transaction.

The space was small and there was little room between the line and the tables, which made the cafe uninviting for conversations or a longer stay. Verve Apartments occupies the majority of the location. A dog daycare is also in the building. Inside the cafe there is a TV that displays a cartoon on the wall beside where the queue forms. It plays music and sounds a child might enjoy. I found the repetitive sounds to be annoying, especially after a couple of minutes standing in line beside it in a tired, decaffeinated state. A Verve apartment tenant's poor behavior also detracted from my experience. On the upside, the cafe appeared clean and well maintained.

Robu Coffee's unique drinks are out of this world! I ordered an iced Vienna Einspanner Latte (with regular milk) and loved it! The cold foam on top was a really nice balance of salty and sweet, but not too much of either. They have several other drink options I'm looking forward to try, especially the Cherry Blossom Latte. My friend got a Roby House Latte with some sort of tapioca topping in it and finished his coffee even faster than me! I didn't try any of the food, but I overheard a customer who had just finished his sandwich go out of his way tell the cashier how good it was on his way out. The baristas were also friendly and gave good recommendations on what to order. The café itself is upscale, modern, and very clean, but it's rather small so I wouldn't advise groups of more to meet here as they may have trouble finding space. Robu has free WiFi that's fast enough for all standard internet activities. Although the menu is expensive ($7.59 with tax for the Vienna Einspanner Latte) the drink quality and uniqueness with the upscale cafe environment live up to the price tag.
