I got my nails done here with SNS 4 times, and there was a huge difference in quality between the two nail techs I worked with. The first two times was great, my nails turned out very clean and shaped well. The second two times I worked with Tara, and I had a much different experience. This last time was I think the worst manicure I have ever gotten. I made my appointment ahead of time for 6pm like I had with all of my appointments. Usually there is still a wait even with an appointment (so I'm not really sure what the point is to having an appointment) but this time there was no wait, actually the opposite. I was given the color options and immediately directed to a seat. Tara came over and started trying to remove my previous nail color before I had even chosen a new color, so I was having to flip through the cards with one hand. I tried to explain to her that I needed a minute to choose a color (I already had one in mind), but she didn't listen and kept working on my hand. She also seemed very frustrated by how long it was taking to remove my previous manicure (she had also done the last one) and kept looking at the clock. She was so distracted that while she was looking away she started filing down one of my bare nails that didn't have any polish on it. The rest of the appointment was the same - very rushed, seeming impatient and frustrated while waiting for my nails to cure, and constantly staring at the clock. I chose to not do extensions this time since my natural nails had grown in, but she did not do anything to shape them so they ended up being different lengths and shapes. I had to shape them myself when I got home to even them out. She also left powder all over my fingers, which took days to wash off because it was so stuck on there from the UV light, and irritated my skin throughout the rest of the week. Tara noticed this at the time and laughed it off telling me to just wash my hands. For comparison, I got my nails done somewhere else 2 weeks later with a similar bright red color, and there was absolutely no residue left on my skin or around my nail. The whole appointment was about 40 minutes, and as soon as I paid Tara ran out of the store cheering and yelling. I am not even exaggerating - she literally ran out and ran across the street cheering and screaming. The whole experience was bizarre, and I was left with nails that I absolutely hated. My first two experiences at Majestic Nail Studio were better, and the price for the quality is better than a lot of salons in the area. If you do go here, just make sure you do not work with Tara.

I love this nail studio! The girls are really nice and the manager is really personal which is rare but really enjoyable. Julie is great and she always is considerate. She really seems to enjoy her work and it makes the experience so much better. And this is one of the cleanest nail salons I've ever seen. Pricey but worth the quality.

SEE UPDATE BELOW: have been trying to get in to this salon for over a month. They are pretty much always booked and that is because they are truly majestic. I've been sadly disappointed in virtually every other nail salon in my area. I pretty much pick a new one every time I get my artificial nails filled. If the salons are just flat out rude or abusive I am often not satisfied with the quality of the work/products and or they are over priced and without value. MAJESTIC is A BREATH of FRESH AIR! I really hope it will continue to be as good as my first service experience with them. I heard about this little salon located in my neighborhood of Mountlake Terrace from a young lady who works in pharmacy department of my local drug store. I noticed that her beautiful long nails were very good quality and detailed designs adorned each perfectly painted nail. I commented on how beautiful her painted nails were and I asked her to tell me the name of the salon which she wrote down for me as Majestic. When I was finally able to book an appointment with this in demand salon I was very excited and hopeful that I would be treated with respect and that they would be professional and skilled with my request of a new full acrillic set with ombre gel and shellac pedicure. I was pleased to see that the salon was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and the staff was so attentive, thoughtful and highly skilled. Special thanks to Denise, Ann, Julie and the gentlemen who was at the front desk (he seemed like the owner or manager). I was treated kindly and they were patient and aiming to please me and make me comfortable. The other salons I've been to are often impatient, mocking and disrespectful even when I'm in pain. I highly recommend MAJESTIC what a special THING! WHAT AN ENCHANTED PLACE! EVERY VISIT SINCE MY FIRST HAS BEEN PROGRESSIVELY MORE MORE ABUSIVE AND LOWER IN QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SKILL. TODAY IS MY LAST TIME HERE. THANKS FOR NOTHING

This salon must be under new ownership or something…I used to frequent this place a lot last year and recently came back. I booked online for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures for my mom and myself. When we arrived there was a man at the desk writing something in a book, he did not look up to acknowledge us at all, and we stood there in silence for about 30 seconds before he said “can I help you” without ever making eye contact or saying hello. I told him we had 2 mani pedis and the time; to which he seems skeptical we even had an appointment. He looked on his computer and said he only saw 2 pedicures. I pulled up the email confirming the appointments that showed we had 2 pedicures as well, and without even looking at my phone he said “well this is what’s on my screen, it doesn’t say manicures.” And then proceeded to say “it’s fine you’re here now so it’s fine”. We told him we didn’t need any polish and I asked if it was possible to get extra massage time instead, to which he replied with a major attitude “um, no that’s not how it works.” After repeating that to me a second time with even more attitude he told us to sit down and he would get water started. It was clear there wasn’t enough staff to do our mani pedis at the same time and we would likely have to wait for each other or each service. We sat and waited about 3-5 minutes while he had another conversation with a guest who was trying to check out and at that point I was so incredibly turned off I wanted to leave. The attitude and the way he handled things from the moment we walked in gave me the ick and honestly made me angry. The previous man who used to work the counter was super kind and very professional. It was like this guy didn’t want us there at all and was just so incredibly rude right away. I can’t speak to the quality of the work there since we walked out but given the experience within the first 5 minutes I would never go back. What a...
