We absolutely love the Muk Y Skate Park. It is not only super fun, and safe, but the people working there incredible. Our son did private skate lessons with Jason and Ethan and loved them both. He quickly became super motivated and asks to go to the skate park daily. He participated in the competition held a few weeks ago, and absolutely loved it. The event was incredibly well organized, it really highlighted every kidās skills (loved that each kid got an award for something they did well!) and Jason made them feel so good by commenting on the microphone while they were performing. My son felt so happy and proud of himself. He said he had a ātonnnn of funā and that is ultimately the most important thing! Heās now super motivated to go back to the skate park and continue to practice for the next one and eventually become a PRO SKATER =) We were really impressed with the flexibility, the organization, and the love and care that was poured into the event.
We also love that the older skaters embrace the little ones and are so kind to them. Our son spent about 45 minutes one afternoon with two older and more experienced skaters, learning new skills and hanging out with them. They were so kind to allow him to be there with them. I am very grateful that the skate community at the MUK Y is such a safe and fun space for my son. Thank you to everyone who puts so much effort for us to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not go to this skatepark. It closes at 5:00pm, it cost $15, For an adult!! This is an extremely nice skatepark, too bad we didnāt get to skate it. There is about 8 just as nice skateparks within a 30 min drive of here that are free. Also, they donāt allow bikes but they allow scooters? Scooters are definitely more of a problem at skateparks than bikes are. Why? Because Scooters are normally 6-14 years old and have zero reguard for anyone else, they donāt pay attention at all. How is that legal? Especially in a āpublicā park. Discrimination of BMX and also of age. Itās $5 for a youth and $15 for an adult. This is extremely pathetic....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should have read the fine print. This is not a free park. We're based in Everett and have skated Everett, Anacortes, Lopez, Olympia, Seattle Center, Monroe and others. I assumed this skatepark was a public park affiliated with the Y and if it weren't since we belong to the Y we'd be covered. Not the case. It's $5 per youth even if you belong to the Y, $15 for 19yo+. I like to skate around a bit with my 3 boys so I was looking at $30 for the sesh. Lame. They are age discriminating and pricing lower-income people out of using this resource. I was extremely surprised given this was the Y. We walked back...
