Caveat: The poke and food here are tasty, the tea is usually decent (real tea), the boba quality is a little bit or miss. But the reason for the low rating is a dangerous new packaging this restaurant is using for their poke bowls. They now come in this very easily breakable plastic bubble that has no easy or obvious handle/way to open it, so when I ordered mine via DoorDash, I ended up accidentally breaking off a small chip of the plastic on the inside rim of the bubble that fell into my food (salad poke), where I unfortunately seem to have ingested it without noticing while I was scarfing down the salad and poke bits. Thankfully, poison control assured me the size was small enough I should pass it without trouble (it was 3/4 inch long and 1/4 inch wide — i was able to measure the size of the piece from the clean break left in the bubble) but I was pretty freaked out and took the packaging to the store to show the manager and encourage him not to use this packaging due to this danger. He replied that I had opened the packaging wrong as I apparently should have twisted the two halves of the bubble rather than grip them and pull them apart, but I don’t think that’s the sort of thing that’s really intuitive for most people to just know. He said he would add instructions to the packaging and I encouraged him to do that at the least if he wasn’t willing to take the loss on however much he’d paid for this pretty and absolutely needlessly fussy and possibly dangerous packaging. But overall, my feedback seemed to fall on deaf ears. So the best I can do is forewarn others here — if you’re going to get the poke here, PLEASE be very careful and check your food and the packaging for breaks before starting to eat. I’d hate to think what would happen if a child swallowed a piece of broken...
Read moreTried Poke Pekoe for the first time and was genuinely impressed 😍. The poke bowl was packed with flavorful ingredients — spicy tuna 🌶️, shrimp 🍤, crabmeat salad 🦀, soft-boiled egg 🥚, cucumber 🥒, and scallions. Everything was fresh and well-balanced in taste and texture.
The spicy tuna had a nice kick without being overwhelming, the shrimp were firm and juicy, the soft egg was perfectly jammy, and the crabmeat salad added a creamy touch that tied it all together. Every bite felt intentional and delicious 🤤.
Ordering was smooth and efficient 🙌. The staff started preparing the bowl right as I was ordering, and it was ready in about 5 minutes ⏱️. Service was polite and friendly 😊. Packaging was clean and neat, with a clear lid that made the presentation pop ✨.
Honestly felt like I was on a mission to try everything in one bowl… and now I kinda want to go back and actually try everything on the menu 🤭🍽️
Overall a satisfying and pleasant experience. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fresh, fast, and...
Read morePoke Pekeo has been on my list to try for a while now, and I am so glad I finally did! We came in about an hour before close and didn’t want to be “those people” but our cashier, who was also the owner, was so incredibly friendly, even telling us we could stay later past close and to take our time. It felt very homey and not at all did we feel rushed or stressed to hurry up even though it was close to closing time.
The salmon and tuna tased so fresh and the crab salad was delicious! Overall, the poke was great and just filling enough! The orb packaging was also fun and unique and really made the whole experience stand out. We also got boba and can’t lie, I really think this may have been the best peach green tea I have had in a while in the area. Not too sweet at all and the peach flavor was subtle but peachy! Overall, I am so glad I visited and the service definitely made it even more worth it. I...
