If you like sub-par food and horrible customer service than the "Bite of New York" will become your new favorite pizza place. For lunch we ordered $50 worth of food, an 18 inch pizza, a meatball sub, a chicken fettuccine Alfredo, bread sticks and a two liter Pepsi. Delivery was on time, about 45 mins. That might of been the only pleasant experience with the "Bite of New York." When the delivery guy handed me my food I noticed that he forgot the Pepsi. I had nothing to drink at the house so I politely asked him to return with the Pepsi. He argued with me at the door and told me I didn't order a Pepsi. After I showed him on the receipt he just handed me that I did in fact order a two liter he told me he would just discount the Pepsi. I didn't want the discount and told him I would appreciate it if he would return with my Pepsi. He told me that its "to far" to return. I told him I would pay for the meal once he returned with my order correct. When he came back and I paid for the order he told me that this would be the "first and last time we deliver here because it is to far." According to Google maps I am 2.9 miles away from the store. What pizza place doesn't deliver in a three mile radius? WHERE do you deliver?
After a horrible experience with the delivery driver I called to speak to the manager in hopes that I would receive some what of a better customer service experience. I was completely wrong and was treated even worse on the phone. The "manager" told me that yea, the delivery driver is right "We don't deliver that far because we don't make any money." Are you serious? I just paid $50 for LUNCH! She then told me he will be back with your Pepsi but we won't deliver next time. You didn't have a problem delivering when I placed my $50 order.
On to the food, The pizza was bland and to call it a "New York Style Pizza" is completely a disgrace to pizza. I could get a better pizza at Chucke Cheese. The Meatball sub was dry and didn't have any cheese. My girlfriend said the Alfredo was ok but lacked any real flavor and was obviously canned. When I finally got the two liter it was warm.
Overall, this place is horrible and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. I would rather starve than order from this...
Read moreFinally. Authentic NY-style pizza in the PNW. This is not a farce - this is the real deal. No gimmicks, no bells and whistles, nothing fancy - just the rich flavor, consistent texture, and mouth-watering crunch that you would expect from a late night slice in downtown NYC.
I am a 10-year NYC native, and I’ve been disappointed that no one in Seattle can serve up a decent slice. They simply do not exist. When I heard that there was a legit NY-style pizza restaurant 30 mins north of Seattle, I was very skeptical. But I had to try it out, and I’m sure glad I did.
Bite of New York is discreetly located in a nondescript strip mall. It’s owned by a lovely couple who are originally from Fort Lee, NJ. The best way to test and see if they’re the real deal is to just order a regular cheese slice. From the way the slice folds, to the way it smells and tastes — all you New Yorkers will instantly know that Bite of New York is the real deal and is worth the drive. My wife and I got a half cheese/half caprese pie and it was insanely delicious. We’ll be coming back.
FYI - we had tried the other competitor down the block as well since it seemed more popular and had more reviews. However, this chain pizza competitor was not the real deal. And, it was unjustifiably more expensive. Skip the chain restaurant and support your local pizza business....
Read moreMy girlfriend and I found this place when we moved into the neighborhood and we love it. She always get their pizza's, which are indeed New York style in size and appearance. I usually get the Philly Cheeesteaks with the extra cheese and mushrooms. I've loved cheesestakes my whole life, but most places that claim to have them are actually offering mere facsimiles. This place has some of the best and true cheesesteaks I've ever had.Their prices are fair, but the menu selection is a little limited. They have pizzas, cheesesteaks, hot and cold subs or "grinders", small salads, and pastas. Oh yes, they also have a small selection of ice cream to calm your sweet-tooth after the meal. The people who work there are friendly and courteous and very pleasant. The restaurant is in the strip mall next to Wallgreens on the corner of Harbour Point Blvd. and the Mukilteo Speedway. I suggest you stop by the restaurant and give it a shot the next time you're in the area....
