What a wonderful find! We were traveling cross-country with road-weary, kindergarten twins and an anxious toddler who needed to get the wiggles out before the next set of confined hours. So I googled "best children's playground in Murphfreesboro", and it lead me to this gem!! How lucky you, folks, are to have this. The boys would have camped out here for the trip's duration had we agreed. It didn't matter their age differences, there were appropriate as well as exciting challenges to enjoy. Climbing, sliding, swinging, twirling, running, hiding, and seeking. Picnic tables and benches are available for companions, though most friendly adults joined in or stood nearby. There was a shelter with a clean bathroom nearby (and fast food not too far up the road). The area is fenced in with one entrance area (that sure helps when you have multiple children running their separate ways). My thanks to the wonderful folks and kids we met who instantly became the boys' "new best-friends" to join them for games of tag, catch, and hide n' go seek. Loved that the climbing paths and so many areas were disability-accessible and that the structures were designed with a variety of mazes, puzzles, and stationary play items built in for all levels of abilities to enjoy while taking a breather. The boys were so thrilled that, of course, we had to make it a pitstop on the road back home. As soon as we turned back into the parking lot, they went ballistic with joy!! This will be a stop any time we travel through. Thanks,...
Read moreGreat park, always has been, but not very accessible to adults who need to watch children closely nor very accessible for adults with special needs who still enjoy a park. I got severely injured on the saucer swing, but that is because an over-zealous child wished to push me. Keep your legs over the edge if you wish to use it, and it's better to use the lower one. I ended up with a concussion, sprained neck, and rupturing a spinal disk, and this was just the week before Thanksgiving, so I'm...
Read moreBeen going here for years. The kids have a blast and have plenty of things to entertain them. Never empty, with lots of families and kids to play with. Very clean and well taken care of. The kids love bringing lunch and spending hours at a time. When they have had enough of the playground we will walk part of the greenway and enjoy a little nature. The city does a good job maintaining the entire area. Definately recommend for either short trips or...
