Will NOT COME BACK. THE ALL YOU CAN EAT IS A SCAM. Our first boils were tiny and was the only thing that initially came with fried calamari. If you want to order more, forget it. It won’t come!! For backstory, My family has been here often. The service has gotten worse over time. This visit, we Chose the all you can eat buffet for my family of 7. We tried in November, and thought our order was slow after our initial order but didn’t think too much of it. We just had to take it to go with our boils. The waitress at that time said we could take our leftovers as long as it wasn’t ordered to go. This time we visited New Years Eve, and the restaurant was very slow. It wasn’t busy at all. We Waited over an hr for our sushi and other food to come out. My children were waiting to eat this whole time. I said something to the manager. Then our food comes by the bunches. However, by this time We’d been sitting and waiting for 2 hrs and had somewhere to be. When we asked for containers because we couldn’t stay any longer and wanted to eat our food, the manager had issues with us taking our food. The waitress was ok since we waited so long but the manager was not ok with us taking our food. Some food items we ordered and never came and the manager then cancelled one of our boils because it hadn’t come, we couldn’t eat it and she wouldn’t let us take it. That sounds crazy! For the trouble she still charged us a fee to take the extra food, as if that was a favor to us! We spent over $300 and waited on their kitchen way too long. For the lack of customers, our food should NOT have taken so long and we shouldn’t of been charged ANY additional fees. My children wanted their food so we agreed to just pay the fee because we needed to go. We will not be back to their establishment and I don’t recommend their all you can eat! It takes far too long when you order. I understand why they’re never busy. It’s a shame because it’s a place I use to enjoy eating. For the amount of money you pay, the service needs to be better and the manager/ owner shouldn’t be greedy. She also tried to make it seem we made up some server when we visited back in November when we explained what she said. Again, this wasn’t our fault or our intention to take food. We had to go and didn’t anticipate waiting this long when they weren’t busy. We will NOT BE BACK I will take our...
Read moreThe food and service here were great! It was much better than I expected.
The concept is pretty unique as well. Essentially, it's a seafood boil, you pick the flavors of the sauce, the level of spiciness, etc. You can choose between different options which feed different size groups, or you can à la carte it and pick what you want or get extras.
They also have other options on the menu that looked great, but we were looking for the Cajun seafood boil. My friend isn't into spicy food too much and accidentally ordered the food too spicy, but it didn't really bother him, because it was so tasty. He mentioned that it was very spicy (it wasn't too spicy to me, but I like spicy food), but he really enjoyed it anyways and said that it went very well with the flavors.
You essentially eat with your hands (but gloves are provided). They bring the food out and put it into a big platter to eat. They put a waterproof waxed paper over the top of the table for easy cleanup, so it's okay if it is a little messy.
The severs are really great too. They are super friendly and make sure to check in on ya and keep your drinks filled.
Also, they had a live band playing on stage while we were there. They were also very good and not hokey at all. Usually when I think of a live band, I think of hole-in-the-wall places; but the interior is also very spacious and relaxed. You aren't crammed in next to other groups of people and have the space to just hang out with your own group comfortably. The decorations are nice too, so the ambiance is nice.
I definitely want to go back though. It was probably the best food that I've had at a restaurant in awhile. Considering that you are sharing the food with your friends/family, it is also a lot less expensive than you'd think it would be. It's also a nice open space for people who may not be used to being cramped in with lots of other diners (especially after being cooped up for so long during a pandemic lol)
I'd highly recommend...
Read moreSeems more and more “seafood in a bag” places are popping up in Tennessee…and that is a good thing! I am a huge seafood fan and have dined at several of these places. When I stopped in at the recently opened Crab Fever in Murfreesboro I was warmly greeted and shown to a table. This spot has a beer & wine menu and my server Javadas brought me a cold Yuengling and a glass of water. The menu gives you the option to select a standard offering of various seafoods, or you can build your own. I decided to build my own with 1/2 lb of shrimp - tail on and 1/2 lb of snow crab legs. Selected the garlic butter and mild spice as I wanted to enjoy the flavors. Normally I opt for Cajun with medium spice…and Javadas highly recommended the Fever Mix which is all four flavors combined.
One thing that sets this place apart from other similar restaurants…they offer shrimp three different ways with just the tail, tail & body, or the whole shrimp including head. So if cleaning your shrimp for consumption is annoying, you can get the shrimp with just the tail on.
Overall the portions were good with about 15 (ish) shrimp and a nice size cluster of snow crab legs. One thing is for sure…the Garlic Butter flavor will satisfy any cravings you have for garlic and kill any Vampires for miles…LOL The flavor was very good and mild as expected. The shrimp were a good size and perfectly cooked and easily popped out of their tails. The Snow Crab was good and was very fresh based on the way I easily extracted the meat from the legs. The sides left a bit to be desired as the corn was a bit mushy and the potatoes slightly under-cooked. My server Javadas took great care of me and it was fun chatting with him after the meal. Overall a welcome addition to...
