I visit family up here a couple times a year for the last 15 years and usually just cook at home because there are no restaurants in this area that can cook as well as I can. But Cherokee Cellars is pretty new and friends said good things about it so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I read reviews and to the person who complained that their dog was not offered water, USE YOUR WORDS. I came on a busy Saturday night with my dogs and this staff was humping between the kitchen and tables full of people so I asked for water for my mutts and you know what happened? My dogs got water AND treats.
I ordered hot wings (they were flavorful and more Crystal Hot vs Napalm in My Mouth hot), a house salad (and the greens were GREEN, hallelujah) and fries that were perfectly seasoned and cooked (crisp outside, soft inside). I also asked for a 50/50 blend of the blackberry wine with pinot noir which makes it not too sweet, not too dry.
Theres a small covered stage outside for live music and heaters and a fire pit to make sitting outside downright tolerable on a freezing night.
Good job, y'all! Best of luck and see...

They had a real fire in a fire pit, live music every Friday night, great wine and beer selection and the food was delicious! The owner came and spoke with us over an hour, and it was like talking to an old friend. He makes and bottles a lot of the fruit wines himself. My husband and I are do not typically like wine, but this was different. It was like drinking fruit juice, that was very relaxing. Let's just say we ended up buying 2 bottles of wine to carry home with us. Will come back again when we are in town! Oh, and they are...
Read moreIt was just okay. We had a Bacon cheeseburger wrap, because they serve their hamburgers with Hawaiian Buns. Not a fan with a savory burger. The wrap was okay, but I missed biting into a thick juicy burger. Fries were good. Hubby had a flat bread pizza that was good, but the honey drizzle, ruined the taste for him. All in all the food was just okay. The waitress did a good job of checking on us, but she never once smiled. We wondered if she was sick or not. We probably will not go back. It just wasn’t that great...
