The employee by the name donna duval screamed at, harassed and verbally abused an elderly woman with Parkinsons selling her book at the art walk in the designated spot the owner (Jan) gave her to set up. Evidently Donna was unaware Jan approved her and was just trying to do her job but upon being informed about the situation donna proceeded to call the elderly woman insults and yell at her until she became too overwhelmed and left. This is unacceptable and I sincerely hope this isn't the sort of treatment that is encouraged by this business however when I called to speak with someone about it I got extreme aggression from the woman on the phone. MURPHY ART CENTER IS OWNED BY OVER 60 TALENTED ARTISTS. These Artists have varied talents, pottery, jewelry, stain glass, dolls, paintings, and photography to name just a few. Each of these artists takes pride in their art. Each piece of art is created with time and talent. All of the Artists invest time in working at the MAC. The atmosphere is Welcoming and Friendly.
