Jeweler By Design Custom — Attraction in Murrieta

Unfortunately I purchased my wife's custom wedding ring from these guys. Marco can be very personable and seems to be quite honest up front. He can't hit a deadline inside of severl days to a week. Zero stars for comunication skills, emails, phone calls or text.

Get all promises in writting because his word, handshake or verbal promise is totally worthless. He wear a cross around his nech, talks about being a strong Christian, acts more like a thief in sheeps clothing in my opinion.

I think unless you want something off the shelf, or straight out of a book you would be better served going to a more professional jeweler. Additionally, I would not recommend buying uncertified stones from them no matter what he promises about their value, clarity, color, symmetry... He is a straight up liar.

Rebuttal to Marco's Comments: Marko, you can write as long of a response as you wish. In my original comments I never mentioned the certified center stone. My concerns from the start were regarding the accent stones, which were not certified! Additionally, I expressed great concerns to you regarding their proportions to what GIA stipulates are the correct dimensions for a triangle diamond with specifically sized sides.

Your a consider yourself a jeweler, you should understand the reflection of light from a "set stone". A loose stone reflects light from all sides and facets not just from the face. A "set stone" for the most part reflects light only from the open face. Hence, the necessity for proper dimensions.

The accent stones you assured me would match the pop and brilliance of the certified center stone, even though they were way thinner than GIA specification. Here is were you shook my hand and promised if they didn't match the brilliance of the certified center stone you would take them back and we would look for better stones. After spending $23,000 on a wedding ring, one would think you would back your product, work and promises. In your case you lied.

FYI, my happiness in getting the ring, was you completing your work before the engagement party. I contacted you before we left to get married with my concerns regarding the dullness of the side stones. In an email you suggested I bring it back in and you would find other stones that would cost more and I agreed to pay the difference and for a potion of the additional work. But I could not take the chance of not having the ring for our wedding, due to your ongoing shortfalls in meeting any kind of a deadline.

Following the wedding is when your true colors were exposed. You would not credit me for the dull stones and I would have to pay all additional work. Marco you are a bold faced liar, look in the mirror that's what you will see in the reflection.

BTW I still have the emails of my continued attempts to get you meet the deadlines you set and your agreement to make the ring right. I would be more than happy to post them as well. I’ve used Marco & Danny on 2 separate custom pieces. Both items turned out absolutely amazing. In on of the pieces I had a Diamond fall out and Marco was quick to send me a shipping label to get it sent back in. There was great communication he let me know as soon as he received the piece. About a hour later he let me know the stone was re set, and looked over to make sure none of the other stones were loose and that it was cleaned and it would be sent back out that evening to ensure I had it back in time for my trip.
