Sudden Light Records — Attraction in Nags Head

It feels like a home not a store everything is so well put together and you couldn’t ask for more friendly and knowledgeable owners talking to them about music you can tell they know what they are talking about. Walked in there and i was greeted and was told i could have some tea and browse around, but one of the coolest things about this shop is that they have GRAILS they wait until certain records are re pressed (like the childish gambino record) and tell you all about it you can tell this is their passion i cannot stress enough to stop here even if you don’t enjoy records or tea the conversations with the owners is on another level you can tell a business is well kept together when you can walk around a casually talk to everyone there including random customers like you’ve known them for years this shop is very far from me but that’s no use because i will be coming...

Great OBX vinyl destination. Bigfoot is keeping watch by the first floor. The shop is on the second floor. Ramps go all the way up if you are on wheels. Hang gliding is across the street. Fudge next door. All of your beach supplies underneath. The store is an oasis up top with a spot of tea. Abbi and Jordan know their vinyl and suggested some newer groups to me. I wandered by and noticed a sign for “Tea and Records” so of course I had to stop in! First of all, the couple who run this shop are so nice! We instantly felt welcomed and the store has the perfect vibe of record shop on the beach. Between the two of them they can share a wealth of knowledge on everything in stock, from the probably 100+ curated records to the dozens of handcrafted tea blends.
