ICE CREAM the connect beach — Restaurant in Nags Head

This is our second year going here while on vacation. Our family loves using the games outside while we are there. We were also excited to see the owner was able to do lots of upgrades to the business. Kinda strange thing happened. This guy pulled in, started helping the guy working. 5 young girls walked in and ordered. He walked them to their car, watched them leave and then directly got into his vehicle. Not a good driver so a few cars have passed by the time he backed his heating and air cooling van around, then pulled out with his lights off in the same direction the young girls went. The way he was looking at them and watching them while they sat in their vehicle and pulling out was not normal. Could be nothing, but I still feel like something was off. The ice cream was to die for and the service was even better. I wasn't sure what to get, all I knew was that I was in the mood for chocolate, and the man working suggested I try a banana split with chocolate ice cream only. I don't know how I've never heard of doing that before, it was amazing. Also, with the store being slow, the man working was able to play games with me. I lost a game of Jenga and had the most fun I've had in an ice cream parlor since I was a kid. Will definitely be back.

Kind of weird place. Has a walk up window, you can go inside I guess but when we went in the guy that was sitting at the counter ran to the back. The woman was really nice and let us sample things. She was nice to my kids as well. I just thought it was weird that who ever this person was ran away when we came in. It made us uncomfortable. We didn’t want to sit outside with the bugs but didn’t want to sit inside after that interaction. We just took our stuff and decided to sit outside. The ice cream was ok but idk nothing great.
