Housley Napa Valley — Attraction in Napa

We spent a few days in Napa and Housley was the highlight for me! I'm not into the $85 wine tasting experiences... I just want to hang out and drink good wine without having to make an advance reservation... and you can do that here.

We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, and received a warm welcome from Mo. He directed us to sit wherever we wanted, and arrived to our table with water and menus shortly after. I enjoyed a tasting of 5 wines for $25 and my boyfriend got tips for where to find good beer & cocktails later!

Of course I was hoping for a Tamera sighting, but we did get a quick hello from Adam when he popped in midway through my tasting. He came right over and ensured we were taken care of... the hospitality was authentic and warm.

I'll be honest... a lot of Napa is boujee and feels almost a little too exclusive for me. But Housley is a place for anyone who loves wine. My future wine tasting expeditions will probably take me to less boujee regions (Lodi, Santa Rosa, Placerville, etc)... but if I do find myself back in Napa for some reason, I'll make it a point to stop here.

We had the best and most memorable time at Housley’s Napa Valley!! It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the best wine tasting rooms and its hands down our favourite place for wine tasting out of the 4 wineries we visited in Napa Valley!!

First of all the space was really clean, cosy, spacious and beautifully decorated! The wine tasting team was exceptional, they had great energy and were very warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our time there - you could tell that everyone there was having a great time!

Special shoutout to Paris for making our wine tasting experience at Housley’s the absolute best experience. It was unique, fun and unforgettable! We absolutely loved your energy, enthusiasm & thoughtfulness! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and at home at the Housley’s! We loved the line up of wines that you chose for us, it went perfectly with the chocolates!

We couldn’t resist grabbing some wine, chocolates and merchandise to bring back to Singapore, everything is of good quality and at affordable prices!!

Great wine selection. The tasting moved slower than preferred and two different folks attended to me. Everyone was polite and courteous, but it took my saying something about seeing the brandy online and "oh, this is what I wanted" and picking out items to purchase for folks to start engaging fully with me. They were having a major delivery at the time I arrived, so it was clear the staff was busy and distracted. I didn't like that the grandpa/co-owner reprimanded an employee fairly harshly in front of me, stood directly in front of me talking to his staff, and never greeted or welcomed me. The tasting room is lovely. Perfect location, near a cute bridge, and two parking lots. Their corner allows for a roomy outside tasting area and it was my favorite outdoor set-up/spacious distancing in Napa. The wines tasted were all the real deal. I'm not a cab fan, but they were among the best I had- robust fruit flavors and not TOO dry. I bought the only sweet wine, their rosé, as a souvenir for my mom, and a couple portable tumblers.
