This Inn was probably lovely 10-15 years ago, but it has not been maintained well. ||The location is nice and very walkable to downtown. The hot coffee at breakfast is good and the muffins were excellent. I loved the mugs they had for the coffee.||The staff is friendly, but they have no authority to do anything. We reached out to the staff regarding issues with the air conditioner, see pics, and the solution was to turn the AC on. One unit that wasn’t ever on was accumulating condensation and the other was operating only as a fan regardless of what combination of functions was pressed (although it was working fine the day of arrival). Nothing was fixed and one room remained incredibly warm our entire stay. If we could have opened windows, we would have been fine, but the room of windows were all non-functioning and the one in the other bedroom was painted shut. ||The carpet was disgusting: stained, dirty, and lumpy from years of use and neglect. The rooms smelled of dust/mold, which was not surprising since the curtains were gray from accumulated dust and the bathroom showed signs of both rusting and mold around the tub. Many of the other issues with the room could have been fixed with a fresh coat of paint and some screws, but molding, shelving, furniture needed to be repainted. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was loose, the curtain display on the door separating the rooms was coming off, the blinds in bedroom two were not well attached (see pictures of most of this).||Now the worst part. The noise. Every morning without fail, we were woken up between 6-7am with load noises both from the kitchen below us and from stomping upstairs. This was pretty constant until about 11am. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were great. We didn’t get a solid night’s rest because we were being disturbed every morning. These were not charming, historic home noises. I grew up in a historic home. This is also due to the property not being...
Read moreI was really disappointed. Made reservations 2 months in advance as a girls weekend with my best friend. The 2 nights were charged to my card in advance, which was no problem, however I mistakenly canceled it through a 3rd party booking app. They were nice enough to reinstate the reservation, so I thought we were fine. When we checked in, we were in the Kirkley Room and it had a horrible smell. My friend is going through chemo and very sensitive to odors. Again, they were accommodating and moved us. That's when things took a turn.
I received a call after we settled into our room saying we could only have that room for one night. I was told they'd clean the other room and we could go back. I said I didn't think that smell was something that could be fixed and that we'd like to cancel the second night. The next morning, before I checked us out, I found we were charged again for the 2 night stay when we arrived. And at a higher rate! My original 2 nights were for $370, total. The second charge for 2 nights was for $410. I called and asked to refund the second charge, and they said they would, along with one night at the original quoted price. And to my utter disappointment, they refunded the original $370 and half of the higher charge.
Yes, it's only $20, but it's the principal. No explanation, no apology. No reply to my request to remedy this. This really left a poor taste in our mouth and really put a damper on what was to be a fun weekend away. Poor business ethics, for sure. I will never stay here nor would I ever...

BIG NEGATIVES No Breakfast (because of COVID they said; Cue eyeroll. The restaurants in Napa were serving food so that didn't make sense. The really aggravating part it that they charged just as much. They should've discounted the night by $75/night if that was the case to be more fair to their patrons. I would actually appreciate a partial refund for the almost $1K I spent there.) No Water inside the rooms No cream or sweetener for coffee inside room 1-tiny bottle of shampoo *for 3 night stay 1-tiny bottle of conditioner *for 3 night stay 1-tiny soap (like 2” x2”) *for 3 night stay No bubble bath for jacuzzi bathtub
This place was not worth the $350 that I paid per night. I’m pretty upset over it actually. We also were not told ahead of time that the breakfast advertised on Booking.com would not be included so that was very disappointing being that it is a “Bed & Breakfast.” We had to spend an average of $50 on breakfast every morning while we were in Napa the 3 nights/4 days. Being that Napa is not cheap, that was the average for a comparable breakfast that a “Bed & Breakfast” would’ve served us.
