Tasting experience- 5 stars! Not too rushed. Not hovered over, not too technical, nor too pushy of sales. I felt like it was really about enjoying the wine, the pairings on the cheese board and getting to know the Brown family and their winery.
Cheese boards- 5 star! Generous and personable with family's jam recipes and the best peppered cookies! Love it!

Read moreI booked a last minute trip to Napa, I looked up a few wineries and came across Browns which had amazing reviews so I was excited to go. I read on the website reservations are recommended, BUT will accommodate walk-in if possible, it was only two of us so we wanted to try our luck, I read a few other reviews where parties were accommodated. We show up around 1:30 on a Saturday, it was very difficult to find we actually had some locals show us where the place was, no signs showing where the business is until you open a door with just an address on it. We go up and we’re greeted by a gentleman who was a little dry, maybe over the day a little bored, we told him we didn’t have reservations and that I had read on the website walks in were welcome. He told us they couldn’t accommodate us because they don’t take walk in on Fridays or Saturdays. My only problem was that it was only 5-7 ladies in there it wasn’t overly crowded and again it was only two of us. With that being said I guess they pick and choose who they want to accommodate...

The staff at Brown Winery went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. They even surprised my wife with a "Happy Birthday!" card and thanked us for coming, which made our visit even more memorable. The personalized touch was deeply appreciated.
