⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “A Local Gem That Delivers Summer Perfection”
Centennial Beach is one of Naperville’s true treasures. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a unique blend of history, community, and outdoor fun. Unlike any ordinary pool, this beautifully converted stone quarry offers crystal-clear, chlorinated water that slopes from a sandy zero-depth entry to an impressive 15-foot diving end.
What sets Centennial Beach apart is the experience—it feels like a resort tucked right into the heart of the city. Clean grounds, shaded picnic areas, a well-trained lifeguard staff, and plenty of space make it ideal for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon. The diving boards, floating rafts, and lap swim lanes cater to all age groups, and the morning “Adult Float” hours are a brilliant touch for those seeking peace and quiet.
Parking can get tight on peak weekends, so arriving early is a good move. But even on busy days, the space is well-managed, and the crowd always feels neighborly.
As a local business owner, I appreciate what Centennial Beach represents—it’s more than just a swimming spot; it’s a community hub. Whether you’re a longtime Naperville resident or visiting for the first time, this is a must-visit destination during the...
Read moreDriving all the way there from WI, over 2hrs away, I can say I was quite impressed. There's a huge Sandy Beach leading up to the zero depth entry of the pool. It's well labeled with the height of the water and then it gradually increases in depth. It's roped off where it's really deep and also where the diving tower is. There's a nice water slide in the not so deep area. Am amazed at how clean the area is that surrounds the beach and the water & that people follow the rule of no food by the water. They also have a corral of beach/sand toys, so you don't have to drag that along. For those who complain about the price of food/drinks, it's comparable to any fast food restaurant you go to. For kids meals you can get fruit or chips & a drink, & we got quite a lot of watermelon & it actually...

To take advantage of the lower price, thinking we have 1 hour of swimming. and were there literally 5 minutes, when I heard the life guard (Christian). Conspiring with another life guard on a canoe, that they heard thunder, wink! Wink! And they ordered everyone out of the pool. And seconds later announced "Centennial Beach is now closed ".... thanks alot !... out $25.00, and left to explain to my 3 kids what happened. No refund, no rain check , no explanation. No excuse for this. Very poor management ...
