If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst cosmetology school in the state of Tennessee. I went here back in 2020 when Covid hit. We got sent to do online classes for a little and when we were able to go back in person there was no organization at all. No teachers and never got to do any hands on work. Everything was free ball. You go in supposed to do a service but never taught anything and just have to learn it yourself. I went into this school thinking they would teach me how to do these things cut hair, dye hair, style, etc. But everything I learned had to be on my own. Luckily I was able to get my license due to me preparing and shout out to Ms. Ella for teaching what is needed to pass state board. But other than that everything was a nightmare. 4 years later here I am trying to get my college degree to get into school and start a new path and when I call asking to get transcripts from them they keep saying they canât find them. I am calling for a whole month up there until Lea says âI will send them to youâ Iâm in contact with my college and they said they havenât received them yet. I call again and the same thing â I will send them this afternoonâ and in the end they never send them. They just kept stalling me out and I was over it. I told my college what was going on and wasnât able to get those transcripts. If you are considering a career in cosmetology and want to elevate yourself, donât come to...
Read moreA couple months ago I was researching esthetician programs and window-shopping new future careers. I applied for FAFSA just to see what kind of benefits I may receive. I was surprised to learn that almost my entire tuition would be covered by financial aid! I then called around to different schools in Nashville, seeking a school where I could enroll and get going immediately.
I spoke with Ian that day, and signed up for a program beginning in just a couple of weeks. Ms.Julia and Ian were very professional and made enrollment a breeze. It was so easy to sign up, and all necessary information has been clearly communicated.
Today, I am 6 weeks into the program and completing my online course with Ms.Jamie. She is a great teacher and fun to learn from. I enjoyed starting class every morning with catching up on how we are all doing, before diving into theory. There are a lot of motivating assignments that are a perfect intro to the program as a whole, such as creating business plans, tips for building clientele, and creating resumes. This school not only teaches you how to become an esthetician, but also how to be a professional.
I am eager to start hands-on...
Read moreMy experience at SPA in the aesthetics department was nothing short of Amazingness and professionalism. HUGE shout out to my educator and professional Ms. Kym. If it wasnât for her , I would of not know half the stuff that was being taught to me in the aesthetics field. I passed my practical with a 100. Thatâs says a lot of how professional she is and knowledgeable. She didnât just read from books, she made sure you understood the concept and actually taught us things that you wouldnât be taught at other schools. She has a nursing background as well and Iâm forever grateful that she went above and beyond for our group of girls. If your willing to come to class, do the work, actually wanting to learn, put in the hours, and actually take the time to listen and respect your instructor and yourself then you will accomplish a lot in life. Not only does she prepare you for your stateboard and make sure your licensed but she makes sure you can still come to her even when your out of school for all the help you need. Ms. Kym is more than knowledgeable and professional, she is a mentor. Thank you...
