UPDATED REVIEW:
I have lived here a little under a year and a majority of the time it has been fine! In the last few months I am not sure if management has changed or what, but the communication has gone from 100 to 0. Previously I would send questions or complaints about dog poop and would get an email back or they would fix the situation. Now nothing. Gave them a 90 day notice that I am not renewing (need to give at least 60 days) and radio silence. My new apartment had tried to contact them for about 2-3 weeks to confirm residency and nothing. It took them calling their bosses for them to confirm my address. I understand it is the Holidays and maybe you have a lot to do but to completely disregard my emails and calls as well as another companies is crazy.
Another note for future residents (not necessarily about management here): if you live facing Bailey Street, 1031 W Eastland has an air BNB on the back of their property where the landlord often has private parties going all into the night. I have filed many complaints against Air BNB as well as calling non emergency and yet they still keep going all night. Even though it may be a few times a year, it has SEVERELY impacted my experience. i love living here! wish we had a recycling bin (unless we do LOL i havent seen where it is yet) but it has been great for the month or so that ive been here. super awesome location. the negative reviews had me nervous but i think management has changed and is...
Read moreI've lived at The Eastland since 2018 and moved out September 2023. I've seen A LOT of turnover with management and am paying the price being a long term tenant by having to pay for fees, such as water, sewage and pest control after moving out instead of it being included in the monthly rent (like it was in the beginning for me). I've loved my unit (top floor and a beautiful view of the east side neighborhood) but there are other issues that has made this experience 2-stars. Please note that you will not get a pool at this apartment, you will also not have a garbage disposal in your sink, most of the equipment in the workout room has been broken or missing the last couple of years and needs serious updating. The mailboxes are outside and often packages are left on top of the mailboxes for anyone to walk off with. I've known people that have gotten stuck in the elevator or the elevator is out of service pretty frequently. The kicker for me and the low review is due to the fees after moving out. I've never been charged for normal wear and tear items like paint...$125. There was another $200 worth of fees I'm being charged for after moving out - two months worth of water, sewage and pest control fees. I'm so...
Read moreI am a current resident at Eastland moving due to Management not abiding by their own non-smoking policy. The neighbor has been allowed to smoke after ALL residents were sent a reminder ALL smoking must be 25 feet away from the building. I am allergic to cigarette smoke. It causes very bad reactions in my body. I called the corporate office to speak Scott the Regional. I was told there are no contact telephone numbers for Scott or anyone in corporate. Keandria (the Property Manager) is very dismissive and doesn't follow up consistently. Sometimes it takes her a week to follow up with an email and/or voicemail. Elmington as a management company continues to go down hill. Elmington has lost the respect of property owners and their residents. I am disappointed in the poor poor poor poor poor poor poor customer service receive. Run don't walk away from Elmington. As with all businesses without your clients/customers there are no...
