Common Market — Attraction in New Braunfels

Came here, on a recommendation. Experience was ok. Menu seems a little discombobulated and confusing, to a non-local. We were a large group, so we ordered a smattering of items, with no real idea of what we were getting. So we ordered the brisket, sausage, roasted chicken, mac and cheese, creamed corn. While the meal was filling, it wasn't as satisfying as I'd hoped. The brisket did not have as smokey a flavor as needed. The sausage was kind of bland, the chicken, while the meat was flavorful, the skin wasn't, not sure why. The mac and cheese was underwhelming. The creamed corn , the cream part was thin. I know this review sounds a little nit-picky but after spending over 120 dollars, the value seems short. Unfortunately, I've had better experiences at national chains, which should not be the case. Was it terrible? No Would I come back? Probably not. The cost vs quality is...

No offense to this establishment but I'm trying to figure out how they got 4.4 stars. I don't like posting rude reviews so I'll just say it's not exactly my thing and when you have competition almost right next door makes it hard I'm sure.
