Hasko Jewelers — Attraction in New Cumberland

If you’re considering taking any wrist watches here, don’t. I was looking for a highly reviewed shop others had experiences with, but clearly the reviews for this shop have been bought or inflated to give the appearance of a highly regarded repair shop.

Story time; I dropped off two wrist watches to be repaired back in January and was informed they would be done in February only for me to literally have to call to check on them every month since then, sometimes multiple times in a week only to notice my work order had been repeatedly forgotten about and the blame for the delay placed on vendors. It’s now nearing the end of July and I was told last week they would be done by the end of the week since, “the watch crystal face was finally in and to expect to receive a call the day it was finished.” Then guess what, I never received said call and had to once again call to check on the status of my watches. I’m now receiving a bill for $164, just to replace a crystal watch face and a battery that I waited almost 6 months for. So no discount was applied to my bill due to the poor service I received or the delay I experienced. I was given a “free watch battery” because the other had died which I would expect, given it took 6 months to fix.

Don’t take your watches here, I’d look elsewhere...

I stopped in one day about 5 minutes before closing. I was on my way to an event and realized I had not packed my jewelry. My dress was not too fancy, so I really needed a piece to elevate it for this fancy gala. The owner took the time to listen to what I wanted and how much I could spend. He stayed open past closing to help me find the perfect piece. He even gave me a discount on the chain so I could stay on budget. I've gotten so many compliments on the necklace I chose and I cannot say enough nice things about the service at the shop. Thank you for help making my night special!

If you’re looking for an outstanding customer service experience which is completely extinct from corporately owned jewelry stores at the mall — look no further. I had 5 of my Swiss watches serviced here because I did not want to drive to Philadelphia. Their inventory is very limited but that is EXACTLY what I expected from a small business handed down through several generations. I would anticipate that they have access to obtain whatever you are looking for. I would encourage you to ask them because the superlative quality and value of their customer service will be worth your while! You will NOT regret the drive to downtown...
