Taqueria El Puente-1 — Restaurant in New Cumberland

The food was good, but not worth the total price. I ordered the street tacos but was charged $5 more than the listed price. Didn't want to fight them on that. The guacamole was good, but we were shorted on our 4oz salsa by 2oz. I called and went back and they did give us the extra 2oz. No harm, no foul, mistakes happen. Even though it was a togo order, I tipped 10% because New Cumberland needs this new blood in it's restaurant scene. All in all, 4 ok tacos, 3 tacos w cheese and some small dips ran us $45 with tax and tip. I want this business to succeed. They are good for the local area and are generously nice people. I just hope they figure out the quality assurance issues. We will give them another shot in a couple months, but I was really hoping for more then what we received. My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time last night and really liked it a lot. I had the combo huarache and sope with grilled chicken. This reminded me of a type of flatbread and it was delicious. My husband had the tinga (chicken with chipotle) tacos. The food was delicious, fresh, not heavy, and I felt good on it. My husband is not a big fan of Mexican food but even he raved about his tacos, which says a lot. I appreciated that the menu was a little unique. Too often Mexican restaurants all have the same type of menu. In addition to the great taste, the food was very affordable. We had two meals and two sodas and I think our bill was just a little over $20. They also gave us complimentary chips and salsa. We will definitely go back. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant...

The most authentic Mexican food I've found in the Cumberland/York county area. They season the food which has been difficult to find in my hunt for authentic Mexican restaurants.

The kindness of the staff is worth special note. Pictured below is cheese birria tacos and a bowl of rice, beans, and chicken. The birria tacos are on their menu and they're succulent, the beef is soft, well seasoned, the flavors in the consume are peak 👌🏾👌🏾. Now, my first time ordering from them, I didn't know the bowl with chicken, rice, and beans wasn't officially on their menu. But they've been making it for me without problem and it is everything!! The kindness of them to make it anyway is astonishing, they specialize in service and I appreciate it!!
