SpaDerma — Attraction in New Trier Township

Had a very bad experience with SpaDerma. Called on January 3 to ask for a specific service and whether they have promotions. Was told they do have promotions and was quoted certain prices. I was booked for a consultation for January 5 with possible same day service. When I went for my appointment I was given completely different, higher prices. I was told the promotion prices ended December 31, and because of a glitch in the system they extended them to January 2. The esthetician who was supposed to do my consultation is Lindsay. She left the consultation room twice telling me that she is checking with the manager if they can honor the prices I was quoted over the phone. Each time she came back to say the manager refused. She tried to sell me a Groupon instead. I thanked her and left. Once I was back home I received a call from Clara, one of their customer service specialists, apologizing for the mess and offering to book my sessions at the stated offer price. I learned from her that the Wilmette SpaDerma manager wasn't there when Lindsay was supposedly checking on honoring the price they gave me by phone. I was very surprised to hear this. Made an appointment last night on their website for a skin consultation, unfortunately due to not being able to make it I called to see if I can cancel or reschedule the appointment. A lady named “Cat” told me due to their 24 hr cancellation notice policy I will be charged $50 for cancellation. I requested to speak to a manager to see if they can make a one time exception. She said a manager is not available and she has already charged my credit card because I requested to cancel the appointment. However I did not authorize for my card to be charged or for the appointment to be cancelled. If they were going to charge my credit card I would have just kept my appointment. Also the lady named “cat” refused to give me her full name. I am actually being forced to go in today so that I can avoid paying the $50 cancellation fees. Sad to be treated here like a robot instead of human beings. I have an emergency that came up with one of my kids but unfortunately these people will not understand. They only care...

I’m writing this review because I can’t thank Kassandra enough for her amazing work. She has completely transformed my skin, I recently broke out all over my face with severe acne after years of mostly clear skin. Kassandra recommended a few treatments for me, a peel treatment, laser genesis, and aviclear which is a laser form of accutane without the side effects of accutane. I will be completely transparent I was worried about aviclear because it’s fairly new but I knew if I would do it with anyone it would be with Kassandra!
