We were near a Shake Shack after hockey and were curious..so we tried it. My son ordered a double smoke shack which is a double cheeseburger w bacon and a special cherry pepper sauce ans bacon cheese fries. I opted for the mushroom burger and fries and a 50/50. It was good...mine was a fresh portabello mushroom cap w muenster and cheddar cheese encapsulated in the breading. It was , fresh and crispy. The shak saice on it was nice. My fries were crinkle cut fries, pretty non descript and not that great. I had a bite of my sons double bacon burger and it was really good...nice flavor. Felt like it was going to deliver a heart attack so theres that. His cheese fries, in all honesty were gross. Most places serve flourescent orange oil based glop from a can...and thats equally yuk. Shake shack has decided to have rose colored glop with no flavor. The bacon on the bacon fries was real at least. Ill say what quite a few reviewers are saying...its an ok burger but theres little value. For a double burger..one reg fry..one cheese bacon fry..a half lemonade and half ice tea and one sprite it was 35.00- and it was not a lot of food. Part of Shake Shacks pricing issues are labor-- there were literally 9 people in the food prep area doing task specific jobs...3 people bussing out front continually. So I can see why it was more expensive yet underwhelming. Service at the register was pretty bad as well...with disinterest and general " I hate my job " apathy. I know the job sucks girl, I know I am an unwashed hick from Indiana- but at least try to fake pleasant. I would give Shake Shack 3 stars for food quality..I am bumping it down to 2 for bad front counter...

One of the major drawbacks of my visit was the slow service. It took an unusually long time for me to place my order, and even longer to receive my food. The ordering process seemed disorganized and inefficient. The staff appeared overwhelmed and struggled to keep up with the demands of the customers. It was frustrating to wait in line for an extended period, only to face further delays in getting my meal. It would have been much more enjoyable if the service had been more prompt and streamlined. Unfortunately, the food at Shake Shack did not make up for the lackluster service. While I had heard great things about their offerings, I found the quality to be mediocre at best. The burger I ordered lacked the juiciness and flavor I had anticipated. The meat was dry, and the toppings failed to elevate the overall taste. The accompanying fries were disappointingly ordinary and lacked the crispiness I had hoped for. Given the hype surrounding Shake Shack, I couldn't help but feel let down by the overall experience. The slow service coupled with the average quality of the food left me wanting more. I had higher expectations for a renowned burger chain, and unfortunately, they were not met during my visit. While I understand that individual experiences may vary, based on my personal encounter, I cannot confidently recommend Shake Shack. Read moreFOOD HANDLING AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT...I have been at the location of Orchard Mall a few times but I have to say, the staff working there are not the best friendly people I have come across. When it comes to being polite and knowing how to address othere people they are awful and rude. A potential customer can soon be discouraged from doing business at this place as it has been the situation with me. The food must be good because people continue to buy here. However, the handling of the food is a deal breaker for me? They wear no face protection as they prep the food and as is being pack I have seen them talk over the food as its being put on the order plates right after being cook. You can see why I gave it only a 2 star rating. Another turn off for me is their restrooms are close to the public which is find but if you are helping the restaurant do business by offering and essential service and the only time you have to use the restroom is when you stop by shake shack but can't use the restroom even if you are there for 10 minutes waiting I believe thats just wrong on their part. This is why I'm writing this review. Because if a business is being help to do more business. I believe that business should be generous and also help others and be more professional on addressing every person that walks in.
