I've used Agape in the past, and thought they were still ok, but omg, their service now is terrible. What I went through today was the worst feeling and humiliation I have gotten in my entire 43 years. I had a surgery a week ago and had to go for my postoperative appointment at Mount Sinai. The appointment was for 2:15 pm and pick up time was for 1:15. I was ready and waiting. At 1:00 pm, I called agape, after waiting for 8 minutes, they hung up on me three good times. I called MAS and they said they hung up on them too. At this point my blood pressure rose, I started having a headache and cold sweats, I started panicking, because my experience with Mount Sinai, when you are late, your wait time gets really long. I tried again, this time the wait time was 12 mins. Finally, they picked up and I asked where my ride was?. She said my number was not updated. I was like, I gave MAS the new number during the booking and I was calling since 1 pm that would have been rectified and corrected if they were not dropping the call on me. At 1:36 pm I finally got a ride. But it was a very boxy vehicle, with no reclining chair, driver couldn't even help me out. I felt every bump and gallop on the way. As I feared the office was locked, I waited outside the medical office for another 15 minutes, till receptionists break was over. And after she came and checked me in, I waited a whole hour with my foley catheter and packing. Omg, I was mad, frustrated and exhausted. I just busted out crying. After my appointment I sent a return message to the number that sent my trip confirmation, but no call or response. I called Agape, the lady said the text didn't go through. She booked me a ride and told me I should get a pick up in 15 to 20 mins. I waited. Half hour later, I called back asking for my ride, she said the driver came, and I never answered my phone. I was furious, I lost it. I updated this number with the lady I spoke to during my initial trip why didn't she do her job making me suffer again. She told me I had to wait another 20 mins. I ended up crying in front of strangers and suddenly a bowel movement. Such embarrassing and humiliating moment for me. I got ushered into the bathroom, were I was able to clean up myself. And suddenly the driver called that he was outside. Never again will I use Agape again. This...
Read moreAgape left me stranded today, Saturday April 13, 2024 in 50 degree rainy and windy weather. I booked my medical transportation online via MAS, which I've been doing for several months. I've always used Agape for these appointments.
My pickup was on time in the morning and I texted RETURN at the conclusion of my appointment. Usually I get a response fairly quickly. However, not today. There was no reply to my RETURN text after several attempts. I next called customer service. The guy on the phone said there was no scheduled pickup for me. Huh? I explained that I was picked up at 11:00 this morning and that I also have a screenshot of my roundtrip confirmation that I could forward to him. He just kept going on and on about me not being in the system for today. Then he said, "Anyways, we don't schedule roundtrips that many hours apart". Again huh?? It was only 2 hours since I was picked up! I again asked if he could please send a car and he hung up me! I called back and he hung up on me again. I called back a 3rd and 4th time and he promptly hung up on me again and again. Finally, I took a chance and called the driver who dropped me off earlier and thank God he remembered me and came back to drive me home. God bless him.
I require a walker to get around. I just had neck surgery 2 weeks ago. I'm in chronic debilitating pain. The driver's have always been wonderful, but customer service not so much. The manner in which I was treated is reprehensible. How do you leave medical patients that depend on your service stranded and then continuously hang up on them? And what's up with your system that you're losing records of confirmed trips? Understanding that technical glitches do happen, why not give a long-term customer the benefit of the doubt and send a car for the return, especially when the customer offers to email or text a screenshot of the confirmation as well as details of the earlier driver?
Instead Agape's customer service chose to go back and forth in an argumentative manner before repeatedly hanging up on a loyal customer.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read morethe worst transportation company ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I recently started using agape medical transportation for my 3 year old who is autistic. FYI as a Medicaid transportation company, you are completely unaware of the condition of the “patient” you’re transporting, HENCE WHY they allow up to 2-3 hours, yes HOURS for the driver to be released (it literally shows you on the trips link once the driver arrives at the location). I say that to say, sometimes arriving early isn’t always convenient. MAS only allows pick up time 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time (i.e if your appt is at 10am, the earliest you can be picked up is 9:15am). These drivers, from my experience, call before 9am sometimes and I’m a struggling mother with multiple children who lives on a third floor family home. So far, drivers have had attitudes for having to wait despite the wait time I explained above, (they even come late some too and still are inpatient, I once had a driver sit outside thinking his horn rather than calling to say he’d arrived) literally had a driver move his vehicle before I could get my belongings completely out while my autistic son was standing beside me (he is small so he was the height of the jeeps wheel) which was extremely dangerous, I’ve had drivers watch me struggle with an autistic 3 year old with bags and an infant strapped on to my chest with no offer to help, I’ve recently even had a driver quite literally curse at me when I asked him to wait and he eventually told me to shutup when I was explaining the wait times to him. AGAPE HAS RIDICULOUS HOLD TIMES AS WELL, YOU CAN NEVER EVER CALL AND GET IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE AND SOMETIMES AFTER HOLDING FOR HALF AN HOUR IT JUST HANGS UP - THEY EVEN ADDRESS THIS IN THEIR MESSAGE WHILE WAITING ON HOLD. AGAPE TRANSPORTATION IS A HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEIR DRIVERS ARE ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTFUL. I have proof of everything I said between reports made several times, both to insurance and the company itself. This has been my nightmare for 2 months so far and unfortunately I have no power to...
