Taco Rico — Restaurant in New York

Today 8/14/2024 me and 4 other friends came in to their establishment. The food was late, bland, the staff was a mess and rude. The staff had not only proceed to lie about the price when asked but also gave a vegan friend in the group meat with their food after they were asked to NOT give any meat. Mind you this is THEIR vegan menu. They did nothing at all to make us feel welcomed nor correct their mistakes. Homegirl didn't even know what a knife is and over charged. She kept giving me the wrong drink. These people Do not know their menu at all.

One of the ladies proceeds to also talk nasty in Spanish about all of us when we told her that her price that she offered was incorrect from what was being charged. They also spoke ill of our vegan friends too. There was less than 5 people in the restaurant and she takes over 20 minutes to give a basic receipt, but not only that she couldn't do that math right.

All in all. I would say if you're black. Do not go to this restaurant at all. It is not Black people friendly. They still were nasty to us even when we had two afro latino/x with us that spoke Spanish and understood it.

The prices as you see on the menu will increase depending on the amount that you purchase - based on the owner-. False advertising of a “mexican carnitas taco - cebolla & cilantro-” for 3.50 which is only with “cebolla & cilantro” and maybe if you’re not from the area they will charge you -like me- $4.00 plus taxes which is the price for the “American taco -lettuce & sour cream-“ Flavor? The lady at the register is as rude as it can be. I accident drop my drink and she said In English enough though I speak Spanish is not my problem. At no point I told her to give nothing free but to give me water since I drop my drink. She wanted me to buy water I did not want a bottle of water in NYC we just take tap water.
