My 18 year old miniature pinscher Hobie passed away a week ago. I was blessed with a healthy dog for most of his life. I credit my diligent annual checkups and shots, blood work ups and teeth maintenance for his healthy life. A year ago, one morning I noticed he was having trouble walking. I took him right away to Dr. Parver and after blood tests were taken we found out he was in acute liver failure. His readings were 6300 and normal is in the 100 range. He was distressed and it was very sudden and a blood work up less than a year earlier was normal. Dr. Parver and his staff started treatment immediately. Hobie stayed in the hospital for 8 days, and Dr. Parver got his liver levels down to the 600 range. I was relieved and took him home with some strict food guidelines, a couple of short term medications and a box of Denamarin, which further brought his levels down to the 200 range. My dog recovered from this near death experience and I had another year of life with him. I credit that all to Dr. Parver and his amazing staff. Eventually, although his heart and spirit stayed strong, his little body gave in and I had to let him pass. Thank you Dr. Parver you and your staff are truly amazing and I am forever grateful.

On two occasions we have boarded our dog with this vet. That we do use as our usual veterinary clinic. During both visits, while we were away. Our dog became very traumatized and started to act as if she was abused when she arrived at home. She suffered from panic attacks, shaking and acting unlike any behavior we have seen prior. Completely out of the dogs natural demeanor. On the second occasion of boarding, our dog, came home with a horrible visual injury to her snout where the skin, was truly scratched away severely and left untreated. Except to "air". As instructed to by their vet. How such injuries can occur or unimaginable, being such that it is a veterinary clinic with vets on call. And that we were also not informed about the injury while they had her in their care. Which is also quite unacceptable. Yet nothing is more unprofessional, then to send the dog back to us without any care or medicine for the injuries that occurred while in their care. Not only is that unprofessional but is completely unacceptable. No one should ever entrust the welfare or care of their animals with this facility. Obviously they are more interested in the money, than the well-being or care of your pet..

Dr. Kwasnik is a wonderful vet. My Benny was a special needs kitty who had a lot of issues, but Dr. Kwasnik knew exactly how to treat him. He went out of his way to fully explain the development of a tumor in Benny's head, which was more than likely cancerous. He discussed what could be done and what would not seem plausible due to Benny's deformities and his age. It was so heartbreaking, but Dr. Kwasnik was sensitive yet upfront. I appreciate that. Within four days of Benny's steroid injection, the tumor grew rapidly, and the only humane option was to help my Benny over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Kwasnik and the girl who assisted were caring and sensitive. The entire staff was so sweet and kind, and they shared their condolences. If you love your pet and are seeking a vet and staff who truly care, then do go here to see Dr. Kwasnik and his amazing staff.

This vet clinic was my first experience as a dog mom, so I hadn’t realize what was lacking until I went to a new vet recently. I’ve been going here for a few years and I think Dr. Kwasnik is informative and honest, as he should be. I enjoy having him as a vet in the absence of Dr. Parver. He’s very straightforward and explains things well whenever I bring my dogs in. However, everything else about this clinic has turned me away from coming back again. Things seem unprofessional, as often times I’m left waiting 10+ minutes on the phone only to be rushed to hang up when they return. If I ask nurses/receptionists any questions regarding my dogs health (anything other than money transactions), it seems like they always have to relay the question to someone else or they just straight up tell me they don’t know. All visits are appointment-based, but the wait is always at least 30-45 minutes. One time, I waited 1 hour and 5 minutes after my assigned appointment time. They never call me to follow up on exam results, even if they say they will, and calling to find out is always inconvenient because you are definitely being put on hold just for them to say ā€œall goodā€ and hang up. I never realized how poorly organized the rest of this clinic was and how little majority staff cared for my pets as patients until I went to a new one recently. The service is mediocre for the time and money you would spend here. I feel a lot better spending that same amount on a place that puts more effort in caring for my pets above all else. Other than Dr. Kwasnik, it feels like money is the priority at this place, and I feel guilty as a dog mom for not finding a more caring place sooner. I feel significantly more confident in my pets’ health after finding a new...

Dr. Parver is THE vet of animals. Many vets that I have met care about upselling and permit no flexibility whatsoever. This couldn't be further from the truth for Dr. Parver.

I have brought 3 different animals to this clinic and cannot be happier with the service.

First, I brought my new kitten who had only one testicle that needed to be neutered. Dr. Parver did not charge an enormous amount more because of the complication and he did the surgery without any issues.

Second, my adult cat who was on her last week of living was suffering from fluids entering her body, making it difficult for her to breathe. The only option we had was to drain the fluids and see if she could survive longer or put her down. This was an emergency in every sense. Blue pearl (an emergency hospital) wanted to charge us upwards of $500 for this service. Completely unaffordable considering that the fluids could return the very next day. Dr. Parver not only allowed us to come at a moment's notice, but charged us a fraction of what blue pearl was asking. And again, he and his staff did a terrific job in teaching my family what was going wrong and actually completing the procedure.

Lastly, I recently got a golden retriever puppy. I mentioned to him that i would like sedated x-rays for a concern I had (over the phone). He straight up told me that I should wait longer before I do something like that and told me I would be wasting my money. This type of transparency is what makes me value this clinic so much.

If you're looking for someone who will care both about your pet and your wallet,...

In such a short period of time the degree of incompetence exhibited at this facility was mind-blowing. I just adopted a dog that was being treated for mange and between this facility and the rescue, it was like pulling teeth to get an appointment or any medical information about the dog. There was no communication that I had adopted the dog and they would not disclose the medical records to me. After confirming I had adopted the dog, I had several medical questions and they were so unaccommodating and unwilling to give me any time of day to ask them. This dog is in pretty rough shape and I felt so rushed out the door. I barely got to ask two questions without the vet just walking away from me. I had primarily brought the dog in to get stitches out that they later told me were long overdue to come out. After they treated my dog for some other conditions, my dog was given back to me STILL with stitches in her. I needed to hand my dog back over, as they had seemingly forgot to remove the stitches! I told them they should reference their records to see where the stitch locations were. Two days later, I found yet another stitch on her that was not removed and had now become an open sore. I still have a bunch of questions about this dog's health and what course of actions I need to take.

I will be taking my dog to a different clinic that can actually aid me with the care of this dog... and at the very least... can reference their medical records to remove...
