This vet clinic was my first experience as a dog mom, so I hadnāt realize what was lacking until I went to a new vet recently. Iāve been going here for a few years and I think Dr. Kwasnik is informative and honest, as he should be. I enjoy having him as a vet in the absence of Dr. Parver. Heās very straightforward and explains things well whenever I bring my dogs in. However, everything else about this clinic has turned me away from coming back again. Things seem unprofessional, as often times Iām left waiting 10+ minutes on the phone only to be rushed to hang up when they return. If I ask nurses/receptionists any questions regarding my dogs health (anything other than money transactions), it seems like they always have to relay the question to someone else or they just straight up tell me they donāt know. All visits are appointment-based, but the wait is always at least 30-45 minutes. One time, I waited 1 hour and 5 minutes after my assigned appointment time. They never call me to follow up on exam results, even if they say they will, and calling to find out is always inconvenient because you are definitely being put on hold just for them to say āall goodā and hang up. I never realized how poorly organized the rest of this clinic was and how little majority staff cared for my pets as patients until I went to a new one recently. The service is mediocre for the time and money you would spend here. I feel a lot better spending that same amount on a place that puts more effort in caring for my pets above all else. Other than Dr. Kwasnik, it feels like money is the priority at this place, and I feel guilty as a dog mom for not finding a more caring place sooner. I feel significantly more confident in my petsā health after finding a new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDr. Parver is THE vet of animals. Many vets that I have met care about upselling and permit no flexibility whatsoever. This couldn't be further from the truth for Dr. Parver.
I have brought 3 different animals to this clinic and cannot be happier with the service.
First, I brought my new kitten who had only one testicle that needed to be neutered. Dr. Parver did not charge an enormous amount more because of the complication and he did the surgery without any issues.
Second, my adult cat who was on her last week of living was suffering from fluids entering her body, making it difficult for her to breathe. The only option we had was to drain the fluids and see if she could survive longer or put her down. This was an emergency in every sense. Blue pearl (an emergency hospital) wanted to charge us upwards of $500 for this service. Completely unaffordable considering that the fluids could return the very next day. Dr. Parver not only allowed us to come at a moment's notice, but charged us a fraction of what blue pearl was asking. And again, he and his staff did a terrific job in teaching my family what was going wrong and actually completing the procedure.
Lastly, I recently got a golden retriever puppy. I mentioned to him that i would like sedated x-rays for a concern I had (over the phone). He straight up told me that I should wait longer before I do something like that and told me I would be wasting my money. This type of transparency is what makes me value this clinic so much.
If you're looking for someone who will care both about your pet and your wallet,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn such a short period of time the degree of incompetence exhibited at this facility was mind-blowing. I just adopted a dog that was being treated for mange and between this facility and the rescue, it was like pulling teeth to get an appointment or any medical information about the dog. There was no communication that I had adopted the dog and they would not disclose the medical records to me. After confirming I had adopted the dog, I had several medical questions and they were so unaccommodating and unwilling to give me any time of day to ask them. This dog is in pretty rough shape and I felt so rushed out the door. I barely got to ask two questions without the vet just walking away from me. I had primarily brought the dog in to get stitches out that they later told me were long overdue to come out. After they treated my dog for some other conditions, my dog was given back to me STILL with stitches in her. I needed to hand my dog back over, as they had seemingly forgot to remove the stitches! I told them they should reference their records to see where the stitch locations were. Two days later, I found yet another stitch on her that was not removed and had now become an open sore. I still have a bunch of questions about this dog's health and what course of actions I need to take.
I will be taking my dog to a different clinic that can actually aid me with the care of this dog... and at the very least... can reference their medical records to remove...
