Aquavim Glass Aquariums — Attraction in New York

It’s difficult to accurately describe the Aqua Vim product other than exceptional. In these days where there are so many choices and overpriced items are the norm for exceptional quality, Aqua Vim stands out unexpectedly. The customer attention from pre-order to shipping, delivery and after sales service is high. The staff is incredibly nice, unbelievably respectful and always responds. In staring at this beautifully made, handcrafted cabinet I am compelled to leave this review. I am struck by the exactness of every cut, joint and surface. It’s very difficult to bend wood and too book-match wood grains across multiple edges and sides much more so. Aqua Vim does this so well, you must know wood and wood products and high finishes to understand what careful thought has gone into the design and execution of each of their tanks and cabinets.

In short, if you are looking for a reasonably priced custom tank and cabinet, I can state from my recent experience and 25 years in the hobby, you will not find better. Different, yes, but a better product, doubtful.

Positives: I ordered a 250(ish) gallon 1/4 cylinder tank from Aqua Vim in December. It arrived about 10 days later. The tank is glass and great quality. The cabinetry is well finished and strong. The quality is not 5 star, but 10 star. Showpiece in my home

Negatives: My aquarium installation company didnt want to take a chance with installation until the snow and ice had thawed - so got installed in April. The tank is VERY VERY VERY Heavy- even without water. Make sure you have a structural engineer check out your home or office to see if additional bracing is necessary. Took 5 strong men to lift and get the tank into my home. (none of the negative issues listed are anything to do with Aqua Vim, nor the quality of their product.)

When finished, it was well worth the wait. The price from Aqua Vim is close to 1/2 of what I would have paid from any other vendor.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGG !!! First off, I’ve never been much of an an aquarium person but my husband is so we got this beautiful 30 gallon tank and now I’m obsessed with how beautiful it lights up our living room.
