Went for a 1 hr foot massage today. If you are looking for a place that really massages deeply into your foot then this place is for you! The petite lady who gave me the foot massage was super strong! She really went in and alleviated my foot tension. Now my foot feels so much better.
If you are looking for a relaxing massage place that plays spa music then this place is not for u. This place is quite cheap because they just focus on the massage part, not the relaxation part (spa music, silent quiet atmosphere, decor, etc). If you want the relaxation part then find another spa place and pay double to triple the price for the spa music & decor.
Highly recommend their 1 hr foot massage. Because their price is so cheap, you have to make sure to tip them more - on the front table there is a sign that tells you how much to tip.
I learned that this place is also 24 hrs. They have staff that speaks english besides mandarin, cantonese...
Read moreThe first time I came here, the experience was great. However, my second visit was the worst experience I ever had. The person giving me the massage was extremely unprofessional. Her phone rang during my session, and she picked up the phone. She didn't silence her phone, and it rang a second time, but she didn't pick up and just let the phone continually ring. She still didn't silence her phone, and guess what. It rang a third time. And she picked up her phone and spoke loudly during my session. The massage was so-so in comparison to others I've had. When I was getting ready to leave, I paid the $35 I owed with a $5 tip, and she had the nerve to say that minimum tip was $10, especially with the unprofessionalism she displayed. Extremely displeased with my experience and will not come back. I would have left a 1 star review if it weren't for the pleasant experience I had...
Read moreGreat place, from my experience:
Music - great choice, calm and adventurous, not like Tibetan zen which gets boring
Massuse - great job on keeping conversation, tries her best with English, don't mind her accent
Clean - and organized, yea walls can be run down, but don't expect marble floors, bathroom is well kept, that alone says a lot
Price - bargain, 20 hh, 35h, if you go for a massage you should know to tip 15-20+ minimum regardless of length of service, often the massuse makes literally just the tips with min wage.
Others - remember it's a Chinese establishment with workers working all day in a closed space, they'll be chatting constantly, so don't mind the chatter if you have no clue, just enjoy the therapy
Definitely recommend and a great place for regulars and it's right in the heart of 8th ave Chinatown, great food...
