The Church of the Transfiguration, also known as the Little Church Around the Corner, is an Episcopal parish located at 1 East 29th Street in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The church was founded in 1848 and is famously known for its commitment to the theater community, particularly to actors and actresses. So glad it was not destroyed/sold/let run down. English mass said on Sunday well attended. I learned that Dorothy day worked in this neighborhood and helped the poor here. Great history. Church of the Transfiguration located at 29 Mott Street in Chinatown, NYC is where I was baptized when I was a little toddler.
It is a very old Catholic church, and they conduct mass is English and Chinese. It is also a Catholic School that teaches grade school to 8th grade.
The inside of the church is small compare to the other churches in NYC.
