DON'T TRUST THIS HOTEL!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY TRIPS. I MADE A RESERVATION MONTHS IN ADVANCE, I ALREADY READ SOME NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS HOTEL CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION AT THE LAST MINUTE BUT I DECIDED TO TRUST BECAUSE I READ SOME POSITIVE REVIEWS TOO, BUT TO MAKE SURE I ASKED THE HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES DURING THOSE MONTHS AND BEFORE THE TRIP IF THE RESERVATION WASSTILL ACTIVE AND THEY TOLD ME “OF COURSE”, WELL WHAT'S MY SURPRISE WHEN I GET OFF THE PLANE IN NEW YORK, I TURN ON MY CELL PHONE AND I GET A TEXT MESSAGE SAYING THAT MY RESERVATION IS CANCELLED!! WITHOUT ANY REASON, SO I CALLED THEM AND THEY TELL ME THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN OUR ROOM, AND WITH SARCASM THEY SAY THAT WE SHOULD COME BACK ANOTHER TIME, SHAMELESS! IT TURNS OUT THAT THAT DAY THERE WAS A MACRO-CONCERT IN THE CITY AND THEY SAW THAT THEY WOULD GET MORE MONEY FOR THAT NIGHT IN THE HOTEL THAN FOR THE WHOLE WEEK WE WERE GOING. THE RESULT OF THEIR BAD MANAGEMENT WAS 9 HOURS IN THE AIRPORT LOOKING FOR ACCOMMODATION! BECAUSE OF THE CONCERT THERE WASN'T A DAMN ROOM IN THE WHOLE CITY AT LESS THAN 1000 DOLLARS PER NIGHT, WE FELT TOTALLY HELPLESS IN AN UNKNOWN CITY, THEY DIDN'T EVEN GIVE US ANY ALTERNATIVES, VERY TIRED BY 8 HOURS OF FLIGHT AND INSTEAD OF BEING ABLE TO GET TO THE HOTEL, WE HAD TO STAY 9 HOURS AT THE AIRPORT CALLING ALL THE HOTELS IN THE CITY, WITH THE CONSEQUENT PHONE BILL AS IT WAS A SPANISH PHONE! A WHOLE DAY'S VACATION LOST!! LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SLEEP AND WANTING TO GO BACK TO MY COUNTRY BECAUSE OF THESE SCOUNDRELS. DON'T LET THEM RUIN YOUR WHOLE TRIP, DON'T LET THEM RUIN YOUR DREAM TRIP TO NEW YORK, DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL

HICE UNA RESERVA CON MESES DE ANTELACIÓN, YA LEÍ ALGUNA CRÍTICA NEGATIVA SOBRE QUE ESTE HOTEL TE CANCELA A ÚLTIMA HORA LA RESERVA PERO DECIDÍ CONFIAR PORQUE TAMBIÉN TENÍA CRÍTICAS POSITIVAS, PERO PARA ASEGURARME PREGUNTÉ EN VARIAS OCASIONES AL HOTEL DURANTE ESOS MESES Y ANTES DEL VIAJE POR CORREO SI LA RESERVA SEGUÍA ACTIVA Y ME DECÍAN QUE POR SUPUESTO, PUES CUAL ES MI SORPPESA CUANDO ME BAJO DEL AVIÓN EN NUEVA YORK, ENCIENDO EL MÓVIL Y TENGO UN MENSAJE DE TEXTO QUE DICE QUE MI RESERVA ESTÁ CANCELADA!!! SIN NINGÚN MOTIVO Y AL LLAMAR ME DICEN QUE YA HAN DADO NUESTRA HABITACIÓN, Y CON SORNA DICEN QUE VOLVAMOS EN OTRA OCASIÓN ,QUÉ POCA VERGÜENZA! RESULTA QUE ESE DÍA HABÍA UN MACROCONCIERTO EN LA CIUDAD Y VIERON QUE SACARÍAN MÁS DINERO POR ESA NOCHE DE HOTEL QUE POR TODA LA SEMANA QUE ÍBAMOS ASÍ QUE HICIERON ESA SUCIA JUGADA, EL RESULTADO DE SU MALA GESTIÓN FUE 9 HORAS EN EL AEROPUERTO BUSCANDO ALOJAMIENTO!!! Read morePLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I had booked at trivago deal for $92 per night. When I get there, they charged me a fee of $119 saying that it is for tax that they didnt charged us on website. I told them that I already paid the $70 tax on the website, they told me that the tax was paid to used trivago deal. I didnt want to argue since it was already midnight and everyone was tired. When we open the room, the small room was filled with moldy smell and there was cockroach on the wall. There wasnt even a table to put stuff on... for $92/ night, there is no bottle water, tooth brush, hair dryer. This hotel is a scam!! On the last day that we stay there, the fire alarm rang durin 2 am in the morning. We immidiately woke up thinking there is a fire and went out to check. There was nothing but the fire alarm kept on ringing. I called the room service for them to come upstair a check and ask our neighbor to check on them as well. The lady came 7 mins later.... If there is a fire... we would be dead already. She had tried with serveral keys to unlock the fire alarm for it to turn off... Nothing worked. During that time, I asked if our neighbor to check if they were charged a unreasonable fee. They all said yes.. and was upset about it but cant do anything since we cant even reach a trivago deal customer representative on email or phone call. Back to the fire alarm, they lady went back and forth dowstair and upstair grabing a few keys to tried, nothing worked. We eventually went back to sleep since we have to wake up early on the next day. The next day that we woke up, we heard a smaller sound of fire alarm and knew that they did not fix the problem. What's worse is that they used a mattres to cover the alarm on the emergency door for the sound to be not as loud. For everyone's infomation, if a real fire went off, we have to be strong enough and waste time to remove the mattress out of the emergency door and out of narrow hall for us to escape.... THIS HOTEL DID NOT HAVE PROPER EMERGENCY PRACTICE AND DID NOT CARE ITS CUSTOMER'S LIVES!!! I went to the front desk telling them that this was wrong and ask for refund for the night that we cant sleep. With a bad attitude, they act like they dont understand my english and bluff me off with saying that they had file my complain and have no email to follow this issue on. Read moreWe staid there for 5 Nights and were absolutly disappointed. We came in at 9am. The person at the desk told us, that our room is ready, but we have to pay 50 $ extra for early check in. Never in my life a had this before. For example, at our stay one step before in Phialdelphia, our room was ready in the morning and it was no problem to bring our luggage into the room earlier. We told the person that we would like to leave our luggage in the luggage storage room which was standing online, where we booked. There was no extra room, the luggage was in the entrance area. This meant that the luggage was accessible to everyone. Nobody could control who/when picks up which luggage or even steals it. The person told us, we could hang around in the lounge at 3rd floor. We went there to change our clothes and go to the restroom. Unbelievable - the "lounge" was totally diffrent as the pictures online. It was a storage room for chairs and mattresses. There was a microwave oven that no one wanted to heat anything in because it was pretty dirty. We made our first sightseeing day and came back to Canal Loft at 8pm to check in. When we opened our room we were frightened how small the room was. Other than at online pictures, again ! I thought okay....we're just sleeping here. BUT.....as I put my luggage on the bed i was really scared. A huge cockroach on the wall next to the bed ! I went down to the person at front desk. He was so sorry about it and gave us an other room. That room was a little bigger. The window was so thin, even though the heating was always running, the cold air was noticeably coming into the room. Sleeping ? No way ! At 3am trucks came to unload their goods in the shops on the ground floor and let their enginges running the whole time ! The description said "daily room cleaning" - the room was only "cleaned" every two days. Soda can buy at the front desk for 5 $. On the other side of the street is a little shop.
