MIN KIM, THE HOTEL MANAGER AND HOTEL ARE RUDE AND GREEDY. My family and I asked the hotel to help us cancel our rooms, and the front desk agreed and also said we would be getting a full refund. Four days into our trip we called again to make sure everything was sorted, but they never cancelled the rooms. We then called the front desk again, where they again told us we would get a full refund. We told the front desk they already promised, but did not follow through, and we wanted to talk to the manager. They then said that the manager would not be arriving until 3pm. That was weird, especially because it was a Tuesday. We asked if anyone could help us during that time, which was 11am, and they said no. We persisted, asking for them to please find someone to assist us, and finally the front desk gave us Min Kim's number.
At first, we asked who we were speaking to, and he said Min, I asked for his full name, and he said Min K. I did not understand why a hotel manager was trying to conceal his identity, as we wanted to know if we could tell this person our names and other information. He insisted his last name was just the letter K, and we then continued talking. But the caller ID showed his last name as Kim, so we knew he was lying from the very beginning. Afterwards, Min Kim was insanely rude, he yelled at my family, telling us we were not listening to him, and refused to answer our questions. We told him exactly what happened, that the hotel did not cancel our refund when we asked, and as a result they are not refunding us because of some hidden policies. He then went on a long rant about my family and I not understanding hotel policy, without ever providing the policy to us. We then informed him that the front desk has promised us a full refund, and then he called us liars, and said that it never happened.
We then provided him an audio clip of where the front desk said we would be getting a "refund," he proceeded to refund us around 10% of what we paid.
This hotel, especially the manager in these reviews has called anyone who leaves a bad review "malicious," not surprising since this is exactly how he treated me. It was not a welcoming experience, they do not value their guests, just a quick buck. Min Kim, you should be ashamed of how you treated my...
Read moreI wouldn't stay there again if it were the last room in Manhattan. Their "Free Continental Breakfast" was a joke. No fruit, no cereal and NO milk for the coffee just that chemical stuff. And only open from 7-9 AM. When I asked - the manager said "are you expecting a 5 Star hotel? This is a 1 Star Hotel". There were no amenities in the bathroom, except for soap. The shower was so small you got wet as you were trying to regulate the hot water. Expedia said "what you see is what you get'. I paid in full when I made the reservation. When I arrived, I got hit up for a damage deposit of $200 - which I had to go to my bank to get back as a week later, nothing was returned, after a couple of email reminders. The ad said 'quiet' and I wondered why ear plugs were provided in the room. It was quiet if you are legally deaf. During rush hour the honking and the noise was constant - even with the ear plugs. The room was so small - I couldn't fit an open suitcase on the floor. Forget any help from Expedia. My bad. The hotels are the customers, not the paying guests. Worst Experience EVER!
You are as slick as ever. Funny thing tho - the food you mention were not offered at the "continental breakfast" I referred to. You only included those items after I pointed out that what you offered as included was no where near a continental breakfast. I never saw OJ and no 'real milk' - just some fake manufactured to taste like cream garbage.. When I mentioned it you DID NOT go out and provide it. I had to go out and buy it for myself. As far as the damage deposit was concerned, you charged me once on the fully paid invoice and then again when I showed up. You hadn't yet changed my room. Good try and then you NEVER voluntarily gave either of them back. And yes - as I need crutches to get around, I asked for a larger room because I couldn't hop around the suitcase. And when I went back to the room to make sure I took everything the bed had just been changed - with blood stains on the new sheets. If there is a place to post a...
