Anime Claw is a new Clawcade that has opened up in the heart of NYC Chinatown, expanding from its location from Flushing.

I visited when it was first opening, and I didn't even realize it was located there because there was no signage. However, the store was expansive on the inside and had wonderful staff who walked through the process of buying tokens and how to get prizes.

The prize payout is very similar to other clawcades in NYC, relying on skilled grabs rather than a payout with a loose claw. I was able to get a few prizes with just $20, with as little as 1 attempt for some of them.

While I had a good experience overall, these are some of my (reasonable?) requests: Ability to purchase tokens in denominations smaller than $10 or make it a $10 minimum. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t get $11 in tokens. They said it had to be multiples of $10 but the machines are all different prices Specifying more clearly that double-tapping is optional. The signage makes it sound like you must click once to drop the claw and another tap to close the claw when that is not the case. It acts as a traditional crane machine and closes on its own.
