Visited this branch for the first time today because I received an email stating that my item was ready for pickup. When I arrived and spoke to a librarian, I was told my item was in transit, despite what the email says. According to the librarians "this just happens" They implied that I was reading my email incorrectly, despite me attempting to show them a copy of the email. Apparently it is okay for them to waste people's time and energy with no apology. They had a stank attitude. This is why people would rather buy books than use a library. Because your glitchy system and unprofessionalism drives people away.

Brought my 2 and a half year old here and absolutely fell in love with their space! Natural light, plenty of good books and engaging toys to play with. And the staff was so friendly and helpful. I’ll be back!

Nice. It is very quiet. The people who worked there were nice and helped me fund every book I needed.

This is one of my all-time favorite NYPL locations. It's one of the best treasures in Harlem, which represents the true feel and character of the neighborhood and it definitely deserves more love and recognition. The collection of materials on the Black experience is some of the best in the city, both for adults and juveniles. The staff are knowledgable, caring, and have a deep knowledge of and respect for the community as well as the patrons, including regulars who have been coming for decades. There's a vibe here that one can't find anywhere else that...

This place recently opened up again after having been closed for about 3 years. My review is to the librarians: SHUT UP!! Or at least, lower your voices!! They think everyone in here wants to hear their conversations! News Flash: We don't! If patrons talked and carried on as loud as they do, we'd be in the wrong. But they get away with it. And why are there 3 guards? Why do the...
