Lunch ladies were super rude … like if they didn’t want to feed us! Honestly I left last day of my detox because they were serving fish an I told the lady I’m allergic to fish/shellfish but she said where’s you’re band an I told her I lost it then she decides to throw the dried up fish in my plate even though I just said I’m allergic really rude .. just because my allergy band came off in my sleep then I told them I’m not eating that … so they said we not forcing anyone to even be here so u can leave pointed me to my stuff an basically didn’t want me there .. mind u I live in Long Island no cell phone on me they didn’t let me use the phone no cash on me lady said just take the train down the block and you’ll figure it out...

I attended the facility in Newark NJ and they saved my life. I am forever grateful for all the people and staff who cared and helped me the best they could. The best advice I can give to anyone who is considering going here for treatment is to go here with an open mind the same way we were towards our using and apply it towards the recovery process if you really want to get better. I gave 4 stars due to minor issues and the fact this place makes alot of money but the staff is underpaid which does reflect how they work. My son checked himself into the detox program in Newark facility and unfortunately he was the only white person in there and was immediately harassed by other patients. Someone stole his cigarettes while he slept the first night and no staff would help him resolve the issue. He tried to confront the other patients to get his cigarettes back. He ended up fighting with another patient because of inappropriate racial calling to him and was kicked out. It’s sad because he really was ready to get the help that he needed. I understand there is a no fighting tolerance but there should of been some kind of help to...
