The service and styling was amazing until it wasnât. Iâve gone to this shop for a few months before I had an unsatisfactory and unprofessional experience. The stylist that had been doing my hair to my liking for some reason could not get it right on this particular day. I always aim to do two things regarding getting my hair braided, the first is to only use one hair braider at the shop, the second is to always to have a picture/video of the styled that I want so I can have it for future reference. I showed the shop owner and stylist the video of the braids that this very same stylist did herself two or three weeks prior. The stylist attempted to braid my hair at least three or four times because I was not pleased with the finished product, based on the video I presented. The owner jokingly said âitâs Ramadan, give us a break we are tiredâ. At this point I reminded her that this was a business transaction, not a free handout and that business is business despite their religious practices. The owner tried to show the stylist how to fix it several times and finally agreed to do it herself but once she took out my braids she refused to braid my hair. After two hours of my time being wasted and rudely spoken to, being yelled at in multiple languages, I came to the conclusion that I was not going to get the desired results that I was paying for. So I left Kadyâs Braiding shop and went to Coumba Braiding on 132nd street and Lenox which the owner of that shop has been doing my hair since my last time to Kady Braiding Salon on April 7th, 2023. Iâll never go back to Kadyâs again but not because of the lack of braiding but the lack of professionalism that was shown. I try to keep the same hair stylist/braider as long as I am pleased with their braiding/customer service but people have lives and things happen so hair braiders rotate shops and shores rotate hair braiders. If you find a good braider and who is also a professional l, the do your best to keep them but remember that they are (the shops) in the business of making money and donât ever down play the power of your dollar. And leave a review so the rest of us can know who we are dealing with...
Read moreI tried this place because my hair stylist recommended it and she told me to only go to Kady no other braiders and I wish I wouldâve listened. I called the braid shop and they were able to squeeze me in but I wasnât able to have Kady service me. I shouldâve just went somewhere else or tried a different day but Kady assured me that the quality would be the same as if she did it.
I asked for super full boho braids snd requested they use all 4 of the human bundles I brought. I had two ladies service me and the braids are all different lengths in the back. They did not use all the hair as I requested several times. I spoke up several times but my request went on deaf ears. I am very disappointed with the final product and will be taking this out today although I got my hair done yesterday. I will never go back to them and if I do I will make sure I make an...
Read moreI think Iâve found my salon! Kady was welcoming and professional. I arrived early and she was there so took me right away. I got a weave takedown wash and blow dry before my knotless boho braids. I brought human highlighted body wave wefts for my boho pieces and she mixed the braiding hair to match the them so well. Two of her colleagues did an amazing job parting and braiding they even redid 2 of the braids that werenât up to their standards without me even noticing they werenât perfect or saying anything. I felt like they really understood the look I wanted and made it happen. I had mentioned Iâd been around the corner before to a different shop in the area and without me saying anything else she asked what made me not want to go back to make sure she did a better job. Love my style and I will be a repeat customer for...
