I’ve frequented this grocery store multiple times. It has always been a pleasure to shop here. Last Thursday , however was a horrific and traumatizing experience. I was not feeling well so I decided to go to the grocery store to purchase the ingredients needed to make a meal. I looked around and decided I was going to order food online so I put what I had in my hand back in its place. I walked out the supermarket being that I did not purchase anything, made it all the way to my apartment building, and I went to open my door . All of a sudden a man runs up to me saying “Open your bag! Open your bag!” . I am in complete shock, thinking someone is robbing me. The man said “ I saw you on the cameras, open your bag!” . It was an employee from the supermarket. He followed me home, ran up on me, and accused me of stealing something I did not steal. My bag was open. I guess he glanced inside and realized there was nothing in there. Then started to walk away. I followed him back to supermarket insisting that he show me the camera footage. I didn’t steal anything so I demand to see what “camera footage” he has that prompted him to follow me to my home and demand to open my bag. I called the police and made a police report. I called the police at 12:23, they did not arrive until 4:48pm. I asked to get management involved, the police suggested to make a police report and come back and address the management myself. I did exactly that. I went in the store to speak to a manager. I told her the situation. She said there was nothing she could do about. I asked her for her supervisor information. She told me she didn’t have that information. The manager does not have access to her supervisor information? I asked her how would she feel if she was followed out a supermarket, have an employee follow you, wait until you’re in the front of your home, scream “Open your bag”, and wrongly accuse you of stealing something that YOU DID NOT STEAL. Then when he realizes that he’s wrong, just walk away like nothing happened. She said “ She didn’t know how she would feel.” You don’t know how you feel if someone followed you home, ran up on you, and accused you of stealing ? Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous. This was a completely horrible and...
Read moreThis place sells every food group. You will most likely find what you are looking for. They even sell beer to help you relax after a hard days work. The people who run the place are all spanish. If you speak spanish you will have all of the communications needed for effective service however they still have context and the food stockers can help you find what you are looking for if asked in english. Be polite around these workers becuase they could easily steal your payment and put your food back and never give you a receipt. It happened to me before out of pure hate for white people but it was stopped by a random customer. I am lucky. The prices aren't killer yet. Everything is like 1-4 dollars then you have the most expensive items which are 15-20 dollars. If you speak to the owner of jumbo you could possibly make trade agreements instead of using dollars....
Read morePrices are sometime ok, it's great to have a supermarket in front it saved me a trip to BJ's. However, cashiers must be trained to have a better customer services skills, they are extremely rudes, talks with others cashiers when they are with customers, this is a rude behavior especially is the customer dont speak your same language, during evenings hours, things are worth most people are coming from work, buying their food to start cooking for themselves and family there is no time to be listening conversations between cashiers , people working on the floor you ask questions and they dont even look at you, if the employee are better trained it will be a great place to shop because you find everything. Either managers must be more drastic and firm or new employees must be hired, after today's incident I think I'm going back to...
