I had my hair dyed for prom a while back. The guy had burned off the bottom parts of my hair closer to my neck when he bleached it. After the wash, they kept telling me my hair looked great and offered a blow dry. In reality, the part was bad to the point where those parts of my hair had come off when they washed it and the parts that remained came out like grey-ish before he had dyed over it with the color I wanted it.
He explained to me that it was due to the fact that I had dyed my hair years ago and there was some color left in it, however, I had dyed my whole hair lighter than my natural color over three years ago. Since my hair is naturally black, I'm sure I had cut all the colored parts off. They offered to cut my hair to match the burned pieces but that would have been half my hair length and I needed my hair length to style my hair for prom.
About 6 months later, my hair color turned out a lighter blondish/orangish so the color didn't last as long as I expected it to. At least the color on the tops part of head came out nice for the pictures and they treated me well-- just not worth the price. I have given myself an ombre purple, full red and full black hair with boxed dye about a year after my hair was dyed and my hair came out healthier than when I had it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA bit of background on this , I suffer from severe agoraphobia which is the fear of public places, social interaction in person, panic attacks and basically a home bound person who rarely leave the house. Today , for some reason, I decided to go and get a haircut which I havenāt had in more than 6 years. Saw this salon once when I went to see a doctor and asked my son to drive me. No appointment. Went in and explain that due to my condition I want a haircut only since that was a time I could care to be there. They were so warm and welcoming, all of them in that salon! Had this young lady Nina who took me in and gently asked me if I want to wash my hair which I denied at first out of fear I may not be able handle that. Somehow she did convinced me and that went well. Then she started the haircut and was so nice and spoke so quietly it put me at ease. Going out of my house I though I would just comeback home without the haircut after walking into that place , out of about 30 attempts to go anywhere I will succeed at only 1 due to my anxiety. Anyway, thank you so much , guys. I donāt know when Iāll come back, but I will only come back...

This was my first time working and meeting with my stylist (Dori) AND.... .... ... I feel comfortable sharing that I DEFINITELY received the āØbest haircut⨠of my life to date!
Dori has a consultative approach which she used when we had the pre-haircut "what kind of cut or style are you looking for" chat. I appreciated this approach and I think it led to my amazing results.
Dori considered a bunch of aspects when she was considering my cut and new hair style. She expertly pulled information from me during our chat and used info like the haircut inspiration photo I brought with me + how I typically like to style my hair + the different types of tools I own currently/feel comfortable using at home on my own.
She successfully paired my wants with her expertise to deliver me a cut and a style that 10000% flatters my face shape and makes me look & feel the best I think I could look or feel.
I will be back soon for a cut/style and if I feel brave, some highlights around the face or something šš...
