Five Below — Attraction in New York

I came to this location on February 2nd because my nieces insisted on coming here to shop for Valentine’s Day gifts for their parents. Unfortunately, we had a very disgusting experience. My nieces, both 11 years old were racially profiled after us only being in the store for less than 10 minutes.. It went as far a store employee (An older African American MAN with glasses) telling my NIECES (11 YEARS OLD) to unzip their jackets & empty out their pockets! Absolutely disgusting behavior. And there’s honestly NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. When I confronted said employee, he stated that the security guard (older Middle Eastern man) saw them putting shirts in their jackets and he just wanted to check it out. I asked him, even if this was the case did he think it was appropriate to corner 2 LITTLE GIRLS and tell them to open their jackets & empty their pockets without official supervision? And, Did he not think to address the 2 adults that were with them? His response was that he thought this was the “civil thing to do”… I’m not sure how completely traumatizing and making 2 littles girls uncomfortable is at all civil. But I am livid about this encounter and advise this location to get better staff immediately! This situation could’ve went further left, but I CHOSE to be civil and set a better example for my nieces. I wouldn’t recommend anyone visit this location unless you want to be racially profiled and discriminated against by staff. DO...

It’s a nice spacious location. We found a lot of cute items. My daughter got some headphones for school and cute hand sanitizers. My son found a basketball that he like. The candy section was organized but I felt like the rest of the store wasn’t. Also there wasn’t employees on the floor that we saw. There is security at this location as well that checks your receipt before you leave. I think if it was a little more organized this would probably be one of my fav locations. As it is a...

I visited this store 2 days before phase 2, when it was not open to the public. But they were open and customers could shop from outside while this 2 very pleasant, super nice and helpful 5 below ladies attending to our needs. I came here to get headphones for my kids and literally they took out about 8-10 kinds to show it to me without hesitation and with SMILES (even it's under the masks). Thank you. And stay safe...
