Supervisor’s Customer Service skills is horrible and unacceptable. Walked in with my infant, made an order and was patiently waiting. After seeing that people after me on line got their drinks and left, went up to a worker and asked why is this happening. A person who called her self a “supervisor “ jump in our conversation and tells me that cold drinks are made on the other side and he is very behind. I said, ok no problem. Went back to the side and waited again. Now I am seeing people who walked in 15 mins after me, waited on the line and ordered their cold drinks, got their drink before me and left. Not even waiting 10 mins. Now I waited 25 mins, my infant is getting frustrated 😣. I am going up to the worker and asked him if there is manager I can talk to. Once again, the so called supervisor jumps in our conversation and tells me she a supervisor and that they are behind. I asked her explain to me how is this possible that I am waiting 25 mins and people after me got their cold drinks and walked out already. She is saying, the same thing again, they are behind in a rude way and they are doing order as they come in their order. I said, can you show me my ticket? She says, you can get your refund and I am not arguing with you, I gave you the answer already. Very rude, zero customer service skills and this person is calling herself a supervisor. No I don’t want the refund after waiting for such a long time. I said again, show me my ticket and she didn’t. She walked away. All I wanted is to investigate and see who made a mistake and why my ticket isn’t there. She could’ve said, I am sorry we lost your ticket or somebody made a mistake, I will do your drink quickly, but no she is the one who wanted to argue with me and be rude about it. I guess she was having a bad day. A coworker who I spoke to initially was super nice, asked what I had as a drink and made my drink in less than a minute. This is called customer service. He should be the supervisor of that place. You don’t talk to people in that way, especially when you are at fault. I am sure they lost my ticket or the cashier made some mistake. No one in there waited 25 mins for their drink like I did. I hope this, so called supervisor, will be treated the same way she treated me, when she is a customer. Starbucks just choose wisely your supervisors please. This is your reputation and because of people like this your rating and reputation...
Read moreIf I could give this place, zero stars, I would. I go in yesterday and ordered two drinks and a cake pop. I ordered a café vanilla Frappuccino, a regular coffee and a chocolate cake pop. I see about 10 minutes go by and my mom has still not gotten her coffee. Didn’t complain because I am still waiting for mine and I understand this location gets very busy. Whatever her coffee finally comes out and I’m still waiting for my drink. The barista with glasses cause at my name and I explained to her that this is not a drink I ordered. She was giving me a vanilla bean Frappuccino. She asked me what did you order? I tell her a café vanilla Frappuccino. She looked confused as to what I was asking for so I see her. I asked another barista next to her and that barista explained what I ordered. So I assumed at that point she was going to make me a new one, the actual drink that I ordered because she took the vanilla bean Frappuccino away and put it behind the counter. She’s wrapping up previous drinks that were ordered and I’m still waiting for mine. I see her prepping other drinks and prepping other drinks and I don’t understand what is taking my drink so long. I go to the cashier I tell her hey I’ve been waiting for my drink. She asked me what I ordered because she made the first drink wrong and I told her and I’m still waiting for my drink. The cashier tells me give her a minute she’s probably doing it right now but I’m watching the barista the whole time and she’s visibly not doing the drink that I ordered, she didn’t even start my drink as I see her doing refreshers behind the counter. Finally I had to ask for a refund because I waited over 15 minutes for a TALL drink that you guys already have on the menu. I seriously couldn’t believe that I waited that long for a drink and just the audacity that she had to ask me what I got and I’m thinking that I’m going to receive the drink that I paid for. She is not doing it, so what was the whole point of asking me? This isn’t the first time I receive horrible customer service at this location. I don’t understand why it seems like they have so many barista’s behind the counter but they take more than 20 minutes to make your order. Everytime I think about dropping in this place to order coffee just because my child goes to Goldfish Swim, I don’t because I keep remembering the disappointment of a customer service that I received at...
Read moreWhen you get into a certain age, you start ruminating about the past and how things would be different today if you knew then what you know now. I'm old enough that I remember when Starbucks started out. I remember those silly commercials on the radio about this silly books company called Amazon. I remember getting on the internet for the first time in a chatroom in 1995.
If only I'd poured every penny in Google, or Amazon, or Apple...
I dont understand Starbucks, to be honest. I drink my coffee black with one sugar. The coffee here is terrible. It has a foul odour and tastes horrible. I only come here for my kids, to swipe my CC after they buy something. And they rarely ever get coffee.
And that's what I'm realizing this place is about. It's about everything but coffee. Just like Amazon today isnt really about books.
I recently stopped going to Panera for breakfast. It was getting too expensive at just over 8$ for a sausage and egg with a coffee. I found a local Deli that's 6.50 for the same thing, except that the eggs are much more fresh, I get more of them and in full for a few hours after breakfast.
Starbucks has a nice ambience I suppose if that's your scene, but I rather go to a local coffee shop - though most of them as ludicrously expensive.
But short of a nuclear holocaust or an Alien invasion, Starbucks isnt going anywhere. And why should it, so long as people keep going back.
I am impressed by the level of complexity of their drinks and the talent that the staff has to develop to make them. The training must be intensive and I hope they get paid decently.
I dont understand this model of wages. The people who physically do all the work get the least money - particularly in the service industry.
This particular location doesnt have couches, which makes lengthy stays not ideal. But maybe that's...
