This place has good sales from time to time. Certain items can be a little pricey though. I like shopping here because they have an excellent deli section! However, this store is jammed packed with merchandise that it is very hard to navigate a shopping cart through the store. The aisles are very narrow in the produce department and merchandise and shelves are in the walkways. Forget about trying to navigate down an aisle with a stockworker stocking the shelves because you won't be able to get through the aisle. Your best bet will be to go around through the adjacent aisle. Osha law requires at least 3 feet of space in a walkway so people can exit safely in an emergency, in this store that would be very difficult. I'm a little surprised that the FDNY or OSHA hasn't fined or shut this place down yet. There are 6 bottle machines at this location but be careful when you bring bottles here because certain brands of soda or water that they sell that has a deposit on it will be rejected by the bottle machine. I've spoken to the manager about certain beer that they sell that they are charging deposits on yet is rejected by the bottle machine he said he put in a request for the machine to be updated that was 3 years ago and it still hasn't been updated. Don't even bring Key food brand soda or water here for redemption because they will not take it back because they claim they do not sell it even though it is their own brand. Under NYS Bottle law they have to take back anything they sell and collect a deposit on yet they get away with not paying out deposits because their bottle machines are rigged! If it wasn't for the deli section of this store I would shop elsewhere. Then again what other options do I have? Stop and shop? (See my review for Stop & shop). Forget it! The only redeeming feature of this store is the...
Read moreI'm forced to rate this place at a single star because there isn't a zero star available. I shop here on a daily basis for odds and ends and happened to hold on to an agave for 3 weeks that was sealed and dated to expire in 2021 when I came back to return it. I was met by what seemed like a head cashier whom claimed that she needed a managers approval for such return, she returns with a "Manager" by the name of Sam who with a straight face tells me that perishables have a 24hour window of return and grocery items have a 7 day window of return. The item I was returning today was $3.49, sealed and due to expire in 2021. On this day I had a shopping list of about $100 that I was going to spend there. I hope you Sam learn the value of your customers, and learn how to make managerial decisions more consciously. Btw there was no publicly posted sign advertising said return policy, anywhere near the checkout or on the receipt. You have graciously lost a customer that spent approximately $300.00/week there on items that you actually make money on and are never on sale. Kudos to Sam the manager for pissing off and losing...
Read moreDon't appreciate the way i was treated today, a cashier that i wasn't even in her checkout lane felt that they had the right to get loud at me in front of people because i wanted to leave my food and stroller at the checkout to get my beverages which were behind the narrow checkout counters, and that's how i always get my drinks there's no other easier way to get them then to leave your cart everything is narrow and i never had a problem before. Today there was no line behind me there was no one behind me it wasn't even packed but today everyone had a problem with me leaving my stroller and food at the counter to get my beverages. Her exact words exactly "ARE YOU NOT DONE SHOPPING". So rude and disrespectful i only took less then 30 seconds. Not to mention back in july my family got food poisoning from old store brand salami out of spite from some old man deli guy all because they messed up my order they gave me cheese when i said i wanted salami and they looked mad and gave me old salami so i knew it was intentional. My new response to everyone who works here ill walk the extra few blocks...
