Bamboo Tropical — Restaurant in New York

I am so displeased with this location! After hearing so many "good reviews" I have never been so disgusted. I drove 25 min to this location to get a salad and a smoothie. The last time I was here was about a year ago. I work in Queens and reside in Bronx. To NOT pay a toll I decided to go here instead. My salad had a dead bug in it!! Thankfully I check my food before putting it in my mouth and was thought, "there are legs here"!!!! I called and of course, as everyone always says when asked to talk to the manager, manager isn't here at the moment. I demanded a refund immediately which I have yet to receive. Whoever I spoke to sounded like she was 18yrs old. They really showed me they do not care about the customer's health. They showed me how greedy they can be and just want the $$ instead of properly making good food. How can someone run an establishment like this? When I called, she's gonna say they don't have bugs....Typical!! Not to mention I work for DOH!! I will never return to this place again!!! I paid $31.90 for this salad and a smoothie!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! I beg everyone please make sure you check...

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Ridgewood. They serve up healthy meals, juices, and smoothies in a fun and vibrant setting. It's hard to find a good entree sized salad and Bamboo Tropical has a full menu of salads with the option to create your own. My favorite was the Mexican inspired salad with black beans, corn, and avocado. I'm also a fan of their fresh juices that incorporate tropical fruits like papaya, guava, and more. I can see this being my go-to spot after a workout or even on a chilly winter day to get a dose of tropical feel. In the summer, this is a great place to grab a lunch and sit out on the public triangle to get some rays and people...

I come in and ask for what I always get with substitutions cause of allergies, but this time the lady in the back didnt want to substitute anything and said its because shes "busy". Then to mediate the situation, I tell them what not to put on and she still says thats changing the menu, I mean im paying the same price and taking away what I cant have on top and your still not wanting to do it??? So the poor kid at the register just tries to help me, it gets done without the toppings.. cant even substitute??? Whatever, last time im going there... Rude &...
