I never leave poor reviews but our visit here last night left a lasting impression I couldn’t shake off. The first visit my husband and I made here a few days ago was awesome so we decided of course we will come back. Guess it depends on whose working? The fellas at the door were very nice, then everything changed in the back area where the flower is. We were looking in the very first case and a woman started shouting aggressively from the 3rd case over (about 12ft away) “I can help whose next!” I think she shouted it 3 times but we had no idea who she was talking to since she wasn’t addressing anyone in particular. Mind you it’s just us and one person behind, not a line. Why not just walk over to us and say hello like a normal person would, like the guy did on our first visit here? Finally the guy behind us taps me and says “I think she’s calling you?” I was like what? Calling me? None of it made sense considering I’m right here, literally almost next to her. I told him to go ahead. Normally a service position requires you to say hello and to directly address customers, not just scream aggressively into the ether. We were then helped by another girl who I can only describe as a morose dead pan LOL doll. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the guy who helped us the day before was super lovely and had perfect customer service. The store is also beautiful. But as a grown professional woman whose been doing this since before these kids were born, yeah I don’t take kindly to aggressive flower service. I thought we were here for peace and love…..
*Updated to 3 stars because I just found out this a female owned business that gives back to the community. As a coffee shop owner myself, I give props to any and all amazing women who put themselves out there in the business world and slay. How unfortunate the staff was so unpleasant otherwise this would be a...
Read moreThis is my favorite legal dispensary in NYC, hands down. I have been here several times and will continue to be a repeat client.
The store itself is beautiful, spacious and very well curated. They offer, not only a vast selection of flower from NY growers and farms (keep it local, friends!), concentrates of all kinds, various edibles and drinks, but also a fantastic selection of lifestyle products and home goods. All the lifestyle items I had to search the internet for back in the day, they carry in their store - I loved seeing that!
Everyone who works at Gotham is really chill and their budtenders are super knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy geeking out to all things cannabis so it's always an engaging experience to speak to their staff. Every time I've wanted to try a new flower or product, their budtenders hit it right on the mark.
Today I met Cora who was just kindest, sweetest and most enthusiastic budtender. We got chatting because I'm preparing for a workshop and want to, not only share the products I believe pair well with a yoga and meditation practice, but I also want to support and help promote the legal businesses in NY. Being a wellness professional, top quality is important to me for mindful, intentional consumption. Clean cannabis supports all the wellness points I will be sharing at my workshop. I came to Gotham to gather some of my favorite items to share with my community at this workshop. Cora was amazing in helping me get all the things I came for and even suggested some new products to try (they have new products every time I go in).
I always have a wonderful experience when I go to Gotham. So grateful for this place and I can't wait to see how they evolve as the NYC market grows and evolves. See you again...
Read moreI would say it’s a corporate commercial sell out all they wanna do is make money. They don’t care about the scene . since I went in there and asked for a discount or I didn’t have enough money. They would turn me away or maybe if I wasn’t dressed in a suit they would turn me away at services when it’s my birthday, they give me free stuff when I’m broke. They still hook me up with a bag that not about profit margin spreading love. Where I shop they know me by my first name . Also all the products are all the same in all the other stores so it’s really kinda boring . One more thing . Your paying for a brick and mortar store so the prices are way to high . I’d rather shop at a place that does not need to pay 100k month in rent . And who actually trust the government grown weed out doors they already poison the food and water supply . What’s next the weed ? Small batch boutique get you the best prices...
