So the play, "Still" was amazing, the cast was awesome. However, the person that sat us on the mezzanine, the usher, was VERY rude to me and my friend. She was tall, had a mask on, had blonde and black wavy hair (the blonde a growing out), unfortunately I didn't get her name. When she sat us she told us we could move because the play wasn't sold out. When my friend asked her where we could move so we wouldn't inconvenience anyone she was very snotty to us and said "look at your tickets" except we just wanted to know where it was ok to sit and not bother anyone. Then, unfortunately I had an emergency and had to go to the bathroom (which I NEVER do) and wouldn't normally do as it was only an hour and 10 min show but it was an unfortunate issue. She let me out yet said that technically she wasn't supposed to let me back in (I didn't see anything about that in any show post or literature in the center however.) I apologized profusely, told her thank you and she told me to "stop talking". I was taken aback. As I was leaving my friend asked me what that was about when the lady was taking to me, and I said to my friend that I loved the play but I thought the lady was rude. She eves dropped and said "can I help you??" I ignored that as I didn't think that was appropriate to respond. She then FOLLOWED US OUT TO THE EXIT DOOR AND SAID "I DIDN'T HAVE YOU LET YOU BACK IN SO THE CONVERSATION IS DONE SO THAT'S IT" when I didn't even say anything to her. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and unwarranted. She embarrassed me as I honestly felt bad that I had to get up to use the bathroom and people like her should not be allowed to work there and embarrass patrons, and they DEFINITELY shouldn't be allowed to follow patrons out the door to chastise them. I have never been treated so poorly! Unfortunately I will never...
Read moreThe place is small, but good, clean, seats were comfortable, some concessions available. I had been to events organized by Fever and had mixed experiences, so I was not sure of what to expect for today. My husband and I went to watch the Sleeping Beauty ballet. The idea of having costumes with light was great but the execution is poor. The show was about 1h long and I was so bored I was hoping it would finish soon. The dancers were good, but the choreography was very disappointing, repetitive, and lacking creativity. They could have done better use of the lights, since that was all the show was about. At one point, the tiara of one of the dancers turned off and it remained like that for about half the show. The narrative was extremely unclear, and if I didn't know the story I would have not understood it. Relevant to highlight that I have previous experience watching ballet and this never happened before and my husband had the same impression so I don't think the problem was me. There was one guy playing violin in a couple of moments, which was nice, but I wish the whole show was with live music. It was definitely not worth the money and time. I really hope the people involved can better...
Read moreThe venue is gorgeous and the staff are friendly. I attended the Frank Sinatra show with my sister and overall had a good experience. The musicians and lead vocalist were absolutely amazing!
Unfortunately, it was challenging to enjoy the performance because lots of audience members used flash to record videos and take pictures from their phones (ruined the “candlelight ambiance”). What really dampened the experience was a man sitting in the front row of the balcony section directly in front of my sister and I who was playing Tetris on his phone throughout the performance. He was incredibly disinterested and was also texting; I would’ve been able to ignore him if his phone brightness was not so high or if he at least shielded his phone from view.
It is unfortunate to see that people not only disrespect the artists performing but also fellow audience members who paid to attend the event.
Would I attend another Candlelight show hosted by Fever, yes; in the event that I encounter a similar audience member, I’ll request for the staff...
